CHAPTER 24 Grace wished she could keep her sunglasses on for the interview. Not only were the lights for the interview glaringly bright and making her squint, she knew she didn’t look her best. She was tired. Quite tired. Though she was hitting the mark on every scene they shot, remembering her lines, for the most part, making sure to eat well and get enough rest, Grace felt like everything around her was thick, like she was moving through water. The air sat heavily on her skin and any sound seemed to enter her ear through a filter that made it slow and echoey. She had felt this way for days.
