CHAPTER 25 Grace could not decide what to wear. After days of being told what to wear, where to stand, what to say, she sometimes stumbled when given the freedom to choose. It didn’t help that she was trying to get dressed at six in the morning. Phoenix had booked the boat at the earliest possible time – 7:00 am–and Grace didn’t want to be late. She had slept fitfully. Thoughts of Lincoln kept drifting through her dreams and waking her. Though she would never admit it to anyone, she was excited at the idea of seeing him again, of being on the open water with him. At four in the morning Grace gave up on getting any more sleep and decided to take a shower.
