Damian's POV 30

1129 Words
Cold water blasted from the showerhead, falling over my shoulders and running down my chest as I leaned both hands against the wet tile wall. I needed to cool off. I needed the freezing temperature to shock my system back into control, but it was not working. My d**k was throbbing, rock hard and pressing painfully against the front of my wet pants before I had even managed to strip them off. I had gotten too close to Aria...far too close. I did not even need to touch her intimately to get like this. Most of the time, just her scent drifting past my nose was enough to turn me on. It was a constant struggle to hide it, especially during training when she tried to act so vulnerable, looking up at me with those wide doe eyes. Holding back around her took every ounce of my willpower. "Damn it, Aria," I spat out, stripping away my damp clothes and gripping my aching length with a slick palm. I closed my eyes, resting my forehead against the cool tiles as the water poured over me. My hand moved fast and hard, stroking up and down as I let my mind drift into the unthinkable. I imagined pushing her against that stone wall again, but this time not stopping. I imagined tearing that thin dress away, pinning her thighs apart and burying myself deep inside her until she was screaming my name. "f**k, you drive me crazy," I muttered through gritted teeth, my hips bucking forward into the cold spray. " fuck." My breath came in ragged, heavy gasps as I picked up the pace, pumping my fist tighter around my shaft. The friction was intense, making my skin burn and my head spin. "I'm losing control ," I whimpered out loud, a low, needy moan spilling past my lips as the coil in my gut snapped tight. "... f**k!" My spine locked up, a deep groan tearing from my chest as I came hard. My pulse hammered in my ears while my thick release mixed with the cold water washing down the drain. I stayed bowed against the wet tile for several minutes, chest heaving, slowly letting the water rinse my skin clean. "Get it together, Damian," I whispered to myself, resting my forehead against the cold wall. Once I turned off the tap, I wrapped a towel around my waist and wiped the steam off the mirror. Staring at my reflection, my mind immediately drifted right back to her. There was something about her that I could not quite point out. Something about the way she moved, the way she spoke, the way she held my gaze without flinching. She felt so familiar. For some reason she reminded me of Lydia. " She is not Lydia," my wolf Vane growled low in the back of my mind, and he was just as restless as I was. " I know she is not," I said back to him, gripping the edges of the sink. " Don't act like youncan not feel it too, Vane... I mean just look at what you made me.do to her in the hallway." Vane grunted," the scent is different, but the fire... the fire is the same....she burns just like her." "It drives me crazy," I muttered to my reflection, running a hand over my wet jaw. "Every time I look at her, I see and feel that same spirit." " Then use it," Vane growled. " Do not let her slip away this time." "I will not," I promised silently. Even if it was never supposed to be that way, I had been deeply in love with Lydia from the very first time I met her.... I had wanted her, I had craved her with everything inside me. I knew Lydia long before Kael ever did. Back then, I was just a skinny, nerdy kid standing in the shadows of his older brother and was far too timid to ever tell her how I felt. So I took it upon myself to change. I spent years training, building muscle, making myself strong and attractive enough to stand by her side because she was more than remarkable. By the time I was finally ready to step forward and confess my feelings, it was too late. I found out my brother the woman my brother was getting married to was her. It hurt like hell. It ripped my heart out of my chest, but I forced myself to be happy for them. I loved her from a distance. I controlled myself, locked my feelings away and served my brother loyally while watching the woman I loved belong to someone else. Until the day she died. I never believed the official story about her death. Lydia was a woman any man would fall for, she was brave, powerful...she was a warrior on her own and ruthless in battle. She could have easily ripped a pack of rogue wolves apart with her bare hands. When news reached us that she had been killed by rogues in the forest, I refused to believe it...rode out there myself to investigate. There was no sign of a rogue attack. No chaotic tracks, no scents, nothing that matched the official report. And right there in that same forest, on the very day Lydia died, I found Aria. It was as if Lydia had been reborn into this girl. The timing, the sharp spirit beneath that servant exterior, the uncanny resemblance in the way she fought... let's not forget how my horse reacted to her....All that was impossible to ignore. " Kael failed her, " Vane snarled inside my head, his dark eyes glowing viciously. " He let Lydia die, and now he holds the crown he does not deserve." "He will not hold it for much longer," I said out loud, my voice firm as my jaw tightened. "I am going to take everything from him." " Aria is perfect..." , Vane urged,"she will be his downfall. Make him blind. "He already looks at her like she is his," I whispered, a dark smirk forming on my lips. "It will be so easy to push him over the edge." I knew my brother better than anyone else. I knew his strengths, his flaws and his darkest blind spots. Kael thought he was invincible on his throne, but he was arrogant. He thought no one could touch him. I was going to overthrow him. I was going to bring him down, take the throne for myself and claim everything that should have been mine from the start. And Aria was going to be the weapon that helped me do it. And if I wasn’t careful...she too would be a weapon against me.
