Miri was on her feet in an instant, flinging open her duster to draw her throwing knives. She tossed them up, caught the tips of each blade and flung them at Adele one at a time. Sunlight glinted off each blade as they tumbled through the air. Adele snapped her fingers. Both knives became water and splashed against the ground at her feet, soaking into the sand.
