Meeting mom

Theo

Maria said welcome to me and I wondered why. Then I saw why her mom was on their porch waiting for us.”

Maria:”Why is mom on their porch looking mad?”

Jackson:”Mom had been waiting for years for you to come back and said that you were going to have it coming to you.”

Theo:”Could I ask a question?”

Jackson:” What is the question?”

Maria:” I’ll answer it for you, OK, the reason I haven’t been back home is because of them trying to get me to take over the farm instead of Jackson, who loves the farm.”

Jackson:” It’s true I do love the farm, but they won’t give it to me even if we are the richest farm in the country.”

When Jackson said they were the richest farms in the country, I had to ask what the farm's name was.

Theo:” What is the farm's name?”

Maria:”Stuart farmers.”

Theo:”You mean your family owns Stuart farmers.”

Jackson:”I’m not surprised she didn’t tell you. She’s not very happy to be part of it, but it’s something we have to live with.”

I don’t blame her for not wanting to come back home ever, because if my parents forced me to be something I didn’t want, I would hate it.

Maria

I’m not very happy that my mom is trying to push this on me, but I have to live with it and Jackson loves the farm. Why can’t she just give it to him? I’m happy with my life in New York.

Maria:”I’m happy being in New York, so I don’t want to be part of this place, but I don’t have a choice in life.”

Jackson

Jackson:” If you both got out of the car I would greatly appreciate it.

When I said that, they looked at me like I had ruined a meeting but didn’t think anything of it, so I just pushed it aside.

Maria:” Uh, let’s get out so we can get this over with.”

Theo

When Jackson asked us to get out, my worst nightmare had come true, meeting Maria’s mother.

Jackson:” So Theo, are you ready for the 100 questions that my mother is going to have?

I didn’t know how to answer Jackson’s question at all, but I knew this was going to happen when I agreed to help her.

Theo:” If I said yes, would you believe me?”

Maria:” Don’t worry Theo, everything will be fine. " Just don’t pay attention to them, and she will be fine, but she’ll just say you are like me, so it’ll be no problem.”

Theo:”ok.”

Martha

I saw them pulling up and having a conversation, which is fine because she and Jackson have a good sibling relationship. Me, on the other hand, is a different story because I know that Jackson wants to take over the farm and she doesn’t.

Martha:” Maria, aren’t you supposed to say hi to your mother and who is this with you?”

Maria:” Hi mom and this is Theo, the boyfriend I told you about.”

The man with her was very handsome and looked like he had a nice personality.

Martha:” It’s nice to meet you Theo.”

Theo:”Nice to meet you too, Miss. Stuart.”
