She ran off

Maria

I woke up and was lying next to Theo just staring at him like I couldn’t believe that I had actually slept with my boss. I mean, it’s crazy and to find out he loves me, that’s even more crazy.

Theo:”Are you going to stare at me the whole time or are you going to say something because I’m hungry, or can we get at it again?”

Maria:” Is it true what you said to me last night that you love me and have feelings for me or was that just a dream that I had?”

All he did was laugh and set up showing his perfect chest, and now I knew I had to be dreaming of someone who had that perfect body.”

Theo:” No, you were not dreaming. " I do have feelings for you and I guess you could say yes, I do love you, but the love you slipped out, as you could say.

I wanted nothing more than to hear that I wasn’t dreaming, and I wasn’t dreaming. He does have feelings for me and loves me. I just don’t know how to feel right now.

Maria:” Oh, I guess it was not a dream that I had, but I need to go get dressed because I told my mom I would go with her to the market.”

Theo

After Maria said that, she left the room like someone had lit her butt on fire, and I was left there thinking I could just have opened my big mouth, but that was a wild night and a fun one, so I got dressed and went down to the table for breakfast.

Martha:”Theo, so glad you are up. Would you mind after breakfast helping Jackson with the choir while Maria and I are at the market? Please and thank you.”

Theo:”Sure, I can help you with the choirs while you guys are gone, but the food does look good enough to eat.”

After I sat down, Maria avoided looking at me and I can understand why she slept with her boss, who told her he loved her, so I deserved to be ignored.

Jackson:”Why is everyone being so awkward this morning? It is just choirs. It’s not that bad. Let’s skip breakfast and get right to it. Why don’t we?

With that, Jackson got up and dragged me out of the house to a barn and told me what to do and how to do it.

Martha

After the boys left, Maria became more relaxed and less agitated, and I know exactly why she was being this way, but I won’t ask her just yet.

Martha:” So, since it looks like nobody is going to eat their food, why don’t we just head on out and get what we need. How does that sound?”?

All Maria did was get up and get her coat and walk out the door to the car, so I got my coat and walked out the door and got in the car.

Maria:” Mom, what would you do if someone told you how they felt and that they loved you? I’m just asking for some advice.”

Martha:”Maria, remember when I told you how your dad and I met? We had our own troubles which we let pull us apart. Don’t let that happen to you, because in the end you will regret it.”

Maria:” Do you regret letting dad leave us? Because I miss him and Tyler took advantage of that and so did Stacey, which hurt a lot.”

I know my daughter has trust issues, but it has to stop. Theo is good for her and I can tell because that red spot on her neck is nice and shiny.

Maria

As soon as I stepped out of the car, Tyler was right there and had a terrible look in his eyes which made me want to get sick.

Tyler:”Hey Maria, I came by your house yesterday and wanted to see you, but your brother said you had brought home a boyfriend, which is really rude. You won’t guess…”

Before he could finish talking, my mom stepped in and stopped him from saying anything more about Theo and I know what Theo said about me to Tyler, so he’s not fooling me.

Martha:”Tyler Charlie Hanse, how dare you try to badmouth Maria’s boyfriend? He is a sweetheart and kind and better than you ever were, so get this through that thick skull of yours, that she will never be with a cheating boy, so leave.”

Tyler:”Maria, are you just going to let your mother speak to me like you are my girlfriend and nobody else did you hear me?”

I just turned around, went back into the car and drove away from him, from my life and everyone. I didn’t care that I left my mom. I just want to be alone by myself for a little while.

Martha

All I could do was stand there and watch my daughter go off down the road away from me and everyone, so I turned around and slapped Tyler right across the face and got my phone out to call Jackson.

Martha:”Jackson, come pick me up from the market. Now Tyler came and started screaming at your sister, and she drove off and left me there, and I have no clue where she went.”

Jackson:”s**t this is bad. I think I know where she is, but I can’t get you and get her at the same time as I do.”

My son is useless. He could come get me and send Theo to get her as a dummy. What am I going to do with him?

Martha:”Well, you could get me and send Theo to get her now. That sounds like a great plan to me, so get your butt moving and pick me up.”

Theo

When Jackson got a phone call, it sounded bad, so I went over to see who it was, and it was Martha yelling at Jackson over the phone about something that happened at the market.

Theo:”Hey, is everything okay? Is there something wrong with Maria? What’s wrong? I can’t really help you if you don’t tell me.”

Jackson:” It’s Maria. Tyler came up to her at the market and started saying things, but my mom interrupted him and told him to stop saying stuff, then started yelling at her and then told Maria that she was his girlfriend only.”

Theo:”That stupid little prick. What does he not get about staying away? So what’s the plan because we have to get her back?”

Jackson:”Well, my mom wants me to pick her up. She also wants you to go after Maria, so head right down that trail and there’s a small hole in a tree that leads to a ladder climbing up it, and you will find her there.”

After that, Jackson went to his car and I set foot down the trail to find Maria and hopefully she would be alright.
