Night Love By - Eva Talukder Chapter 11: The Crimson Rain The sky didn't just rain; it poured as if the heavens were weeping for Arura’s fate. The heavy, rhythmic sound of water hitting the roof of the sleek Black Mercedes was the only thing filling the suffocating silence inside the car. Arura was pressed against the door, as far away from Zayan as possible. Her red bridal saree, once vibrant, now looked like a stain of blood in the dim light of the dashboard. Her hands were trembling, the gold ring on her finger felt like a heavy shackle, cold and mocking. Zayan was driving. His knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel. He didn't look at her, but his presence was like a dark cloud hovering over her. Every flash of lightning illuminated his sharp jawline and the predatory glint in his eyes. He was driving fast—too fast—weaving through the lonely, forest-shrouded roads of Sylhet. Arura: (Her voice barely a whisper) "Where are you taking me? This isn't the way to the city." Zayan: (His voice low and vibrating with a strange energy) "I told you, Arura. We are going somewhere where no one can find us. No Nilima, no Ayan, no one to come between a husband and his wife." Arura: "Don't call yourself that! You forced me! You aren't my husband; you are my kidnapper!" Zayan slammed on the brakes suddenly. The tires screeched against the wet asphalt, and the car skidded slightly before coming to a dead halt in the middle of the dark, deserted road. The engine hummed, but the world outside was just a blur of wind and rain. Zayan turned his head slowly. The shadows made his face look like a mask of marble. Zayan: "Kidnapper? Prisoner? Call me whatever you want, but the law says you are mine. Your mother’s signature on those property papers says you are mine. And tonight... tonight, your silence will say you are mine." Arura: "I will never give myself to you! I would rather jump out of this car!" She reached for the door handle, but Zayan was faster. He lunged across the seat, his large body pinning her against the leather. Arura let out a gasp of terror. The scent of his expensive cologne mixed with the smell of rain and something raw, something dangerous. Zayan: "Try it. Open the door and run into the forest. See how far you get before the darkness swallows you. Or stay here... and face the darkness that is already inside this car." Arura: "Zayan, please... look at me. This isn't you. The Zayan I knew... he wouldn't do this." Zayan: "The Zayan you knew died the day he was kicked out of his own home! He died every night he spent alone in America, dreaming of this exact moment. You are the only thing that can fill the void he left behind." He grabbed her wrists, pinning them above her head against the window. Arura struggled, her bangles clinking loudly, but she was powerless against his strength. His eyes were fixed on her lips, his breathing becoming heavy and ragged. The rain was drumming harder now, creating a private world inside the Mercedes where no rules existed. Zayan: "You look beautiful in red, Arura. It’s the color of revenge. It’s the color of my obsession." Arura: "You’re hurting me..." Zayan: "The pain is just the beginning. I want you to feel everything I’ve felt for the last twelve years. I want you to know what it’s like to belong to someone who hates you as much as he wants you." He lost his control. The wall he had built around his heart for years finally crumbled, replaced by a fierce, unstoppable desire. He leaned down, his lips crushing hers in a kiss that wasn't about love, but about possession. Arura tried to scream, but the sound was drowned out by the roar of the thunder outside. In that cramped, luxurious space of the Black Mercedes, surrounded by the shadows of the Sylhet forest and the relentless rain, the boundaries between hatred and passion blurred. Zayan was no longer the cold businessman; he was a man driven by a dark hunger. He didn't care about the mansion or the property anymore. In this moment, the only thing that mattered was the woman trembling beneath him. Arura’s tears flowed freely, wetting the leather seats. She felt her strength fading. As Zayan’s touch became more demanding, she realized that there was no escaping him. He was her storm, her nightmare, and now, her husband. The windows of the car fogged up, hiding them from the world. Inside, the "Basor" was happening—not with flowers and laughter, but with tears, rain, and a dark obsession that would tie them together forever. Zayan pulled back for a second, his forehead resting against hers. His eyes were wild, clouded with a mix of triumph and something that looked like agony. Zayan: "You are mine now, Arura. Legally, physically... eternally. Don't ever forget this night." Arura couldn't speak. She just closed her eyes, letting the sound of the rain wash over her as she realized her life had changed irrevocably. The road ahead was long and dark, and she was trapped in the passenger seat of a man who would never let her go.
