Chapter 9

After dinner, Klara went to do the dishes, Luke went to his room to play game and their parents took Micheal to the sitting room to hear what he had to say. He told them his intention of marrying their daughter and they were satisfied with him. Mrs Ume was so happy. “I couldn’t ask for a better son-in-law my dear, but we are not the ones you intend to marry, so you have to get Klara’s approval first before any other thing can follow.” Mr Ume said. “I have done that already sir, and we have agreed that we want to spend our lives together” Micheal replied. “Oh, is that so, then you have our blessings. Discuss with your parents and let us know when you are ready so we can start making arrangements” Mr Ume gladly said. “Thank you so much sir, I promise to treat her well. Thank you ma” Micheal said happily. “We know you will son” Mrs Ume said. Micheal left for his room so excited.

When he got to his room, he saw Klara seated at the edge of the bed, he walked to her, stood in front of her with his hands in his pocket, he exhaled loudly through his mouth, smiled so brightly and said, “they gave us their blessings babe, we are getting married.” “I know” she replied while grinning. “How do you know?” “I eavesdropped on your conversation with them, I was so curious that I couldn’t wait” she said snugly. “Naughty girl” he chuckled while leaning in so close to her. She adjusted herself into the bed, and laid on her back while facing him. He had missed her so much, he just wanted to kiss, make love to her and cuddle her to sleep while naked. He always imagined different ways to make love and do naughty things to her. He wanted to explore her beautiful body. But he can’t do all these to her in her father’s house. “You know you are not meant to be in here?” he asked in a low sexy tone while hovering on top of her. “Why?” she asked shyly. “Because I have many naughty thoughts of the things I want to do to you in my head” he said slyly. She swallowed hard when she heard him, “do them then, I want you to do naughty things to me.” He moved his face closer to hers that they could feel each other’s breath on their faces. He stayed like that for a while, exhaled loudly through his mouth while running his fingers through his hair, “damn it babe, we are in your father’s house, so we can’t do anything naughty. Let’s go get some fresh air outside, staying here with you in an enclosed space is not doing me any good” he said as he got up, and took her hand.

He has not been with any woman for over two months and his body had started rebelling. Of course as a very handsome and successful young man, it is so hard to resist the passes and seductions made towards him by other girls. Even Rose was not left out, she visited his office one time but he walked her out. He didn’t want to tell Klara about all that because he does not want her to start worrying for nothing. “I love her so I have to make some sacrifices” he told himself each time he was faced with temptations.

She showed him round the compound while walking hand in hand. Then when they got to the garden, they settled down on the two swings in the garden and chatted. Klara got up at some point and sat on his laps while they continued chatting. It was past midnight and she was already asleep in his arms. So he carried her into the house to her room, laid her gently on her bed, covered her and kissed her goodnight. He then went to sleep in his room.

The next morning after breakfast, Mr Ume left for an emergency in the hospital. Micheal and Luke went to play PS5 in Luke’s room and Klara joined them after washing the dishes. She sat beside Micheal cheering him up while rubbing his head, shoulder, beards and stealing kisses at intervals. “You, you are now kissing a man in front of your brother right? You have no fear anymore. Besides, how can he concentrate with everything you are doing to him right now” Luke said jokingly. “I’m helping him concentrate by doing these, that’s why he is beating you” she responded while sticking her tongue out. Micheal chuckled. He was glad to be marrying from such a happy and harmonious family as his. He already told Luke of his intention to marry his sister before they started playing the game and he gave his blessings.

A package arrived for Klara in the afternoon, a big flowery box. She found a beautiful red dress and black heel sandals when she opened it. When she read the card attached in the box, she realized that the gift was from Micheal. He asked her out on a date and wanted her to wear the dress and shoes in the gift box; and that he already made reservation in a fancy restaurant. “What a romantic man” said her mum who was in the room with her. “I know that with him you are in good hands.” She smiled and hugged her mum.

When evening came, It was time for their date and Micheal was already downstairs waiting for her. “You look so handsome dear” Mrs Ume said. “Thank you aunt” Micheal replied while waitingfor his date. When Klara came downstairs, Micheal was already waiting for her at the base of the stairs, he took her palm in his and kissed the back of her hand, “you are dazzling my angel” “Thank you love, you look so handsome yourself” she grinned. “Thank you” he said as he led her outside. “Oh princess, you look so beautiful” he mother said behind them. “Thank you mum, byeee.” As they got to her car, he led her to the passenger’s seat, sat at the driver’s seat and they drive off. “So how did you arrange all these? This is not even your city” she asked in amazement. “I have friends here, and besides, this is the 21st century, I could have done it without the help of my friend” he replied. “Hmm…this is the most romantic thing someone has ever done for me” she said. “Wait till you see the rest” he said as he glanced at her smiling.
