The holidays had been a long ride, and now, tomorrow would mark a brand new year: 2025.
As expected, Zach wasn’t in bed. That could only mean one thing; he was out for his morning run.
I made my way downstairs, heading toward the kitchen, when faint voices stopped me in my tracks. The door was slightly ajar, and I could hear the conversation clearly.
“Mum, I’m serious.”

“Darling, you can’t be too sure. You talk like you know Daphne better than she knows herself.”
