Chapter 12 ▼ △ ▼ △ The sun was rising on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem that was full of pilgrims. The Temple Mount is the place where Abraham offered his eldest son Isaac as a sacrifice to God. This is also the site of the great temple that was built by King Solomon and later destroyed by the Roman army. It is where Muhammad, the leader of Islam, ascended to glory to receive the last revelation from Allah. It is now home to the mosque Dome of the Rock. The walls of the temple are adorned with marble at the bottom and blue glass mosaics on the top, and the roof is covered with a golden dome, making it very easy to see even from afar. Christian pilgrims were looking at the golden dome of the magnificent 35-meter-tall mosque when they noticed a white object floating in the sky next to it.
