LUCIA POV
The Rossi brothers dragged me through the entrance of a grand, yet ominous-looking mansion. The heavy doors slammed shut behind us, and I heard the sound of locks clicking into place. We stepped into a grand foyer, with a sweeping staircase curving up to the left, and a door to the right that led to a dark, narrow corridor.
Leonardo gestured to the corridor, and Vincent pushed me forward, their grip on my arms like vice grips.
"Welcome to your new home, Lucia,"Leonardo sneered.
As we moved down the corridor, the air grew thick with the scent of decay and rot. I stumbled, my feet heavy with fear, but Vincent's grip only tightened. We stopped at a door hidden behind a tattered tapestry.
Leonardo produced a key, and the sound of the lock clicking open echoed through the hallway. He pushed the door open, revealing a dimly lit room with stone walls and a single, barred window. A small bed sat in the corner, surrounded by chains.
"Your new quarters," Leonardo sneered, his eyes gleaming with cruelty."
"You understand, Lucia, that any attempt to escape will have...consequences. Your parents' lives are in our hands. If you try to flee, they will suffer the ultimate price." Vincent's grip on my arm tightened, as if to emphasize the threat. Matteo's silence was oppressive, his eyes cold and unyielding.
I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized the true extent of their control. I was trapped, with no escape from this living nightmare.
I felt a wave of despair wash over me, as I realized that resistance was futile. My parents' lives were in the balance, and I couldn't risk anything happening to them. I nodded slowly, defeated, and Vincent's grip on my arm relaxed slightly. Leonardo smirked , while Matteo's expression remained unreadable.
"Good girl, You'll learn to obey us, Lucia. And soon, you'll forget all about your old life." Vincent said.
I felt a shiver run down my spine, as I realized that my fate was sealed. I was a prisoner, a pawn in their game of power and control.
LEONARDO POV
I watched Lucia's spirit crumble, her eyes losing their spark as she surrendered to our control. Vincent and Matteo exchanged a look, their faces expressionless, but I knew they were thinking the same thing: she's ours now. The thought sent a thrill through me, a sense of power and dominance. I had always gotten what I wanted, and Lucia was no exception. Her father's debt was just the beginning; now, she would pay the price too.
"Vincent, Matteo, we have a new job lined up, The Esposito family is moving in on our territory, thinking they can take a slice of our action. We need to send a message." Vincent nodded, his face cold and hard.
"I'll take care of it, Leo." Matteo spoke up.
"I'll get the details from our sources. When do we move?" I smiled, my mind already racing with the plan.
"We move tonight. And Lucia here will be our little insurance policy. Just in case the Espositos need a reminder of who they're dealing with."
"Matteo, get the details from our sources. Vincent, prep the team. We'll hit them at their warehouse on the docks. And Lucia...' I turned to her. "You'll be coming with us. A little motivation for the Espositos to cooperate." I smiled, enjoying the fear that flickered in her eyes.
"You see, Lucia, we're not just any ordinary criminals. We're the Rossi brothers. And we always get what we want." I gestured to Vincent, who dragged her out of the room, leaving me to finalize the plans for our next move.
As I outlined the plan to my brothers, my mind raced with the possibilities. This was more than just a hit on a rival family - it was a statement. We were the Rossis, and we wouldn't be threatened. I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins as I thought about the look on Esposito's face when we took him down. And Lucia... well, she was just a bonus. A sweet little cherry on top of our victory and I smiled to myself.
"I'll show Esposito who's boss," I thought, smiling to myself. But before I could even finish the thought, Matteo burst in, looking like he'd just seen a ghost.
"Leo, we have a problem. Our source betrayed us. Esposito knows we're coming!" My smile faded, replaced by a growing anger. "What? How did this happen?" I demanded, my eyes narrowing. Matteo shrugged, looking helpless.
"I don't know, but we need to act fast. Esposito will be ready for us now." I gritted my teeth, my mind racing. This was not going according to plan. But I wouldn't let Esposito win. No way.
"Okay, here's what we'll do." I looked at my brothers, my mind racing with the new plan.
"Vincent, you'll take a small team and sneak in from the east side. Matteo, hack into their security cameras and give us eyes on the inside. And I'll take Lucia and a few men in through the front door, like we originally planned. But now, we'll be ready for a fight."
I watched as my brothers nodded, quickly adjusting to the new plan. I turned to Lucia, my eyes cold. "You're still our ticket in, whether you like it or not," I said, my voice firm.
I could see the fear in her eyes, but I didn't care. She was our leverage, and we needed her to get to Esposito. I turned back to my brothers. "Let's move out. We have a job to do."
We moved out, our team of seasoned criminals ready to take on whatever Esposito's men threw our way. I could feel the adrenaline pumping through my veins as we approached the warehouse. This was it – our chance to take down Esposito and show him who was boss.
Vincent and his team slipped around to the east side, while Matteo worked his magic on the security cameras. I took a deep breath, adjusted my grip on my gun, and pushed open the front door. Lucia walked beside me, her eyes fixed on the ground.
The warehouse was dimly lit, the only sound the creaking of old wooden beams. I motioned to my men, and they fanned out, taking cover behind crates and boxes. I pushed Lucia forward, my gun trained on her back.
"Let's go,Esposito's waiting for us."
We moved deeper into the warehouse, my eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of Esposito's men. Lucia walked beside me, her eyes fixed on the ground. Suddenly, she stumbled, and I reached out to catch her. But instead of falling, she twisted out of my grasp and made a run for it.
I cursed under my breath as I took off after her. My men followed close behind, but Lucia was quick. She dodged and weaved through the crates, her feet pounding the concrete floor. I was gaining on her, but just as I thought I had her cornered, she vanished into thin air.
I skidded to a stop, my chest heaving with exertion. Where had she gone? I spun around, my eyes scanning the warehouse, but Lucia was nowhere to be seen. I snarled in frustration - she had escaped. For now.
