Chapter One
"Ronnie, are you coming?" Marshall asks as he pops his head around the door.
"Just ten more minutes," I promise my boyfriend, not looking up from the spellbook.
"That's what you said an hour ago," he mutters. He sounds fed up, but I know he'll forgive me, he always does.
"You can go, I've got this," Magda promises me from across the room.
"No, we need to finish this if we want to get on the honour roll," I respond. If we want the best jobs, then we're going to need to graduate from Grimalkin with all the advantages we could find. Top marks, we already have, but the honour roll...it was hard to get on there. They didn't even use it every year. And I'm determined that this year they will.
"Do you mind if I go down to the pub with some of the team?" Marshall finally asks.
