Chapter Five
Nothing I do seems to stop the worries rushing through my head. There are so many things that could go wrong on a site like this. With no one having investigated this part of the site yet, there's the chance the structure isn't completely sound and could fall down around us. That's without taking freak sandstorms into account.
Or curses.
Or the fact that if anyone finds out about us being here, we could end up sent home on the first flight out tomorrow with no chance at all of being able to pursue the careers we want to.
I don't want any of that to happen.
A sigh of relief fills me as I turn a corner and find Ryan standing in front of me. At least one of them is safe. Now all we have to do is find Rhubarb and return through the twisting tunnels that brought us here. There
