Chapter Ten
I'm shaking all over, but I know I have to do this. The longer I leave Feathertop and her associates at large, the more harm they can do. For all I know, they could already be plotting to take more of my friends into their custody. The last thing I want is for anyone else to be in danger.
"You may as well come in, Miss Black, I know you're there," Feathertop calls through the door.
I sigh loudly and check my shoulder for the strap of my bag before remembering it isn't there. Daphne's looking after the kittens under the pretence I'm on a date with Caspian. He doesn't know anything. Perhaps it's a mistake not to have at least one person knowing where I am.
"I don't have all night," Feathertop snaps.
