Jasper left their home minutes after Eva. He followed from afar as she headed in the direction of school. His fated stopped at a coffee shop and emerged with two cups which confused him but he wrote it off. When Eva walked into the park Jasper thought nothing of it since it was a known shortcut to the high school. Keeping his distance, he watched her step behind a tree. After a few minutes when she did not reappear fear gripped him. Deciding to go check on her slowly he stepped out from behind the wall he used to conceal himself. As soon as he did Jasper was hit with a massive wave of dark energy throwing him back into the brick wall surrounding the park. Suddenly Eva stood before him. It appeared as if their surroundings had frozen in time. The only movements came from the fated pair. Eva's wings were spread and nearly entirely dark. Each wing had only a handful of pure white feathers remaining at the tip.
“Hey Jasper, what do you think you are doing?” Eva asked all too calmly.
“What the Hell! I was taking a walk to clear my head! What do you think you are doing?”
“I asked you to give me a week! One week! But you could not! I am dealing with our first problem!” Eva yelled.
“E! Calm down! Honestly, I am just making sure you are okay! The whole situation is out of control and I am not letting you deal with this on your own. I promised I would not tell our parents, not that I would not watch over the woman I love!” Jasper replied, frantically trying to reason with Eva.
Suddenly, her eyes became clouded as she gazed off ignoring Jasper's pleas. An eerie calmness swept over her features before her mind returned to the reality in front of her. Eva looked down upon her fated. Jasper was still on the ground with his back against the wall.
“No, now is not the time," she spoke softly to herself before acknowledging Jasper. "You want to help me, that's fine. Why don't you go check on Gabby's parents, Jessica and Landon. See what you can find out.”
“What is going on with you? Did you just have a vision?" Jasper asked.
"That is none of your concern. Do you want to help or not?"
"Sure, whatever your heart desires Eva. You cannot do this alone,” Jasper replied, frustration obvious in his voice.
“Good, I will see you at home baby.” With that Eva tucked away her wings and without another glance she continued in the direction of the high school.
“Eva! You are not okay! We need to talk!”
“Jasper, that is where you are wrong. I am perfect. You will see soon enough my love,” Eva nonchalantly replied as she walked off.
Jasper fully collapsed onto the ground putting his hands over his eyes. Her wings were black, her eyes were not her own. His original plan was in shatters.
