Deceit

476 Words
Eva I saw the future. I knew what was going to happen but I could not, atleast not yet. Honestly, I was not sure I would ever be able to do what my gifts had shown me. It was time to head to school solely to focus on my plans. I walked through the front doors before being roughly pulled by large pair of hands into a nearby classroom. After setting down the coffee's I had been carrying, I threw my arms around his neck as he pulled me into a kiss. Alex stood before me looking as gorgeous as ever. His scars only added to his appearance. Alex was 6’2” with blonde hair, dark brown eyes, a chiseled jaw and body to die for. Who would know such a stunning man was secretly a monster. “Hey sweetheart, how is everything going with your fated?” Jasper asked sarcastically. “We are hitting some troubles,” I replied honestly while handing him his coffee. “Is that so? Anything I can help with?” “I have it under control babe. Do not worry, once we are done I will reject him. I am all yours.” After my eighteenth birthday when I once again saw Alex stalking me, I concluded I needed his help to both locate Gabby and overpower the light. I told myself I had the right intentions. After my birthday Alex soon approached me. He wanted to eliminate me and almost succeeded but I once again proved to be stronger. With some manipulation on my behalf, Alex confessed how he survived two years prior. Before confronting Gabby and I he had suspicions about my status. It was common knowledge I was far stronger than a half angel should be but he was the only person to piece it together. Alex had connections of his own and despite receiving a few scars he managed to emerge from the freezing waters after blackmailing a dark witch, forcing her to provide him with extra lives. Knowing of his darkness, my desperation to find my best friend and the dark path I had chosen, I felt it necessary to bring him on board. When I explained my plans he was more than willing to help. Alex had no idea he was the first person I would destroy. Keep your enemies closer, as they say. Despite the deceit, my heart belonged to Jasper. I had no plans to reject him. Now that I had told Jasper he would support me in a week, it was even more important I used every resource at my disposal even if that meant locking lips with the monster. With Alex's help I hoped to avoid what I witnessed earlier in the vision. I refused to murder my fated love to force his darkness, at least not yet.
