Leonard Stone

“PRINCESS CATRA!” a voice thundered from above the people “what do you think you’re doing?” the king asked as he stood up from his distinguished chair on the corridor of the highest building in the square. “Father…” Princess Catra breathed as she walked closer until she was in front of Clark and facing the top building “what I’m trying to do is prevent you from staining the record of justice you’ve always believed in and kept in all your years as a king my lord” she explained “And what do you mean by that?” the king asked visibly becoming calmer than he had previously been “Killing Clark here” she pointed at the still struggling man that still had his head on the thick pier of wood and was trying to untie his wrist “would not only be seen as injustice due to the royal house being partial but also it would be the loss of one more witness of the truth” “Are you sure you’re just not doing this just to save your beloved manservant?” a feminine voice asked from beside the king, a younger girl stood there, she looked a lot like Catra but instead of the brown colour of eyes that Catra had, her’s reflected that of the king’s blue ones “I don’t care about a measly manservant the way I care about my father’s legacy Princess Belinda” she looks pointedly at the girl “don’t think for one second that I’m like you and your mother” Belinda’s eyes widen in shock as her mouth hung open looking scandalized at what Catra just said but before she had the chance to say anything more Catra continued and she instantly shut up, her eyes watering. “As I was saying father” Catra faced the king directly, “Clark has nothing to do with the plot of treason against you but because he had found out who it was that did, he was framed to take the fall” “If what you say is true then why stay quiet even at the cost of his own life?” the king asked not quite believing “Because his words against the traitor is useless without the evidence at hand” she smirked “and so in order to get my hands on it without any problems we had to make them believe they had the upper hand when they caught and framed Clark” “Out with it then!” the king bellowed “who is this traitor you speak of?” Catra’s smirk widened as her eyes move to the figure that stood at the very back of the king, who was slowly but steadily creeping to the back “Bring them in!” she called out and soldiers brought in ones that were dressed in uniforms different from that of the kingdom’s soldiers, their hands tied behind their back as they were dragged in and forced into a kneeling position. “What do you have to say royal adviser Leonard Stone?” Swiftly the man behind the king drew his sword, slashed at the two guards by the door and made a run for it. “What is this supposed to mean?” the king asked furious “That question will be more easily answered by the man who you trusted so much and just fled” she sigh “it’s over if he gets away though” “Don’t let him get away!” the king ordered his blue eyes shaded in anger at the apparent betrayal as he frowned “get him” “Yes sir!” army of men chorused in answer as the place suddenly became rowdy as everyone struggled to get out of there while the guards ran around After a few minutes the place became quite safe for Catra and Clark who was now free and sat trying to calm his breathing “You really are slow, inefficient and lazy Clark” Catra suddenly blurted out, her back to him as she still looked towards where her father had stood “what would have happened if I didn’t arrive on time?” “Princess…” “Always making me do things on my own even though you’re supposed to be doing them…” she stood strong and it may look so to everyone else but Clark saw it Saw the way her hand that clutched tightly onto her bow trembled for a moment before she breathed and turned around to face him. “But I’m glad” a small smile appeared on her face “I’m glad you’re safe” End of flashback “Get up, we’re leaving” Clark’s voice sounded angry as he stood in front of the duo and grabbed at Catra’s wrist “Oh misterrr Anddderson” Catra slurred “I have been waitin… hic” she hiccupped “for you~” Catra allowed herself to be pulled up but when he made to move she became dead weight, preventing him from moving further. “I feel dizzy” she said as she place her palm over her head Clark looked at her worriedly as he grabbed at both her shoulders to steady her “Are you okay?” he asked as her head fell to his chest and she hummed “Your chest feels so sturdy, just the way I like them” she suddenly blurted out and Clark’s eyes widen in surprise He looked down at the other man who seemed to be ignoring their presence as he sipped elegantly at his drink ‘He looks way younger than I last remember him from the past’ Clark thought as he eyes the man Hopefully, just like Catra, he hoped he doesn’t have any memories of his past and is living a decent life in this present life “Let’s just go Catra” he said as he moved her from his shoulder and grabbed her hand again, she was busy tracing her fingers on his chest while murmuring nonsense “Ignoring my existence are we now Clark?” Leonard’s voice, though low and deep sounded like thunder to him and suddenly the party’s music dimmed and his presence behind him and the beating of his heart was all he was aware of His hope of him not having memories of his past washed down the drain He may have only called his name but the way he called it doesn’t sound unfamiliar to him “I see the princess has no idea who she was” Leonard continued, standing up when he got no answer from Clark He was a fine tall man, a bit taller and older than Clark himself, with pale skin, blond hair and green piercing eyes His thick pale pink lips pull into a smirk as he shoves his hands into his trouser pockets making him look even more intimidating “Were you hopping I too would have no memories of mine?” he asked again amused as he watched the duo Clark frozen in place and Catra laughing at nothing as she clings to his arms almost like a child “Look how actually cute she is without all those regalia that made her seem like a powerful vixen” he snickered “the sight alone almost makes me want to forgive and forget those vexing things that happened in the past but…” He suddenly paused as he moved closer to the shorter male and bent his head a bit so he could whisper something to him “My grudge against the two of you is just so great, so great that it remained even to this current life of mine” he said lowly “so watch your backs because I’m about to return the favour from the past three times as much as I got” He moved back as he patted down Clark’s shoulders “Enjoy the rest of the party” he smiled “although I myself would be retiring happily for the night now that I’ve met the both of you” He said as he walked away while muttering “I wonder if it’s okay for the host of a party to leave before greeting everyone” Clark wasted no time in bolting down the door with a giggling Catra in tow This situation was not something he ever imagined he would face again, the universe had been so nice to him ‘Why the sudden change of heart?’ he thought as he opened the car door up for Catra and dragged her in before taking the driver’s seat. This night had been terribly long
