Chapter 2:grill

2072 Words
The moonlight outside shines into the window. Cao Rui and three others sit by the table, with a small gas stove sparking with fire. Cao Rui casually places sliced raw fish onto an iron plate, and the gentle flame wraps around the plate. In the absence of others’ attention, Cao Rui’s fingers transform into dark claws, and the fiery flame seems as tame as the mineral water in a bottle. Half a year later, Cao Rui sits idly by the river, using his dragon claws to grab fish and roast them over the flames. A month ago, he suddenly felt hunger, but he was not skilled at hunting. Therefore, he occasionally sneaks behind other large beasts, waiting for them to catch prey before pouncing out and robbing their meal. Although he is not good at hunting, he has a talent for fighting, with almost unbelievable magic resistance and thick scaly armor. Even if he takes a beating first, he can easily win in the end. The beasts he follows either abandon their prey and leave or are beaten up before leaving. Over time, his reputation becomes a notorious one. When large beasts in the vicinity realize that Cao Rui is nearby, they won’t hunt without him present. With his huge dragon form, there’s no place to hide. If they discover him nearby, the beasts simply give up on hunting and choose to go hungry together. Cao Rui doesn’t want this situation to continue. He is a civilized dragon who has completed nine years of compulsory education. This kind of robbery is indeed disgraceful! Cao Rui has also tried to communicate with intelligent high-level beasts, but he doesn’t understand their language at all. The conversations often devolve into him swearing in his native language while the other beast speaks a language he doesn’t understand. They “friendly” greet each other in this way. Now, on the brink of starvation, Cao Rui is eating dirt in the dream world. The stomachs of the two worlds are connected, so when he eats in his dream world, it temporarily relieves his hunger in reality. During these past six months of hunger, despite sharing meals with his fellows, there was one time when he went without food for three months and still felt no hunger. However, when he does feel hungry, even eating a whole roast sheep and several tons of rice is not enough to satiate him. The buffet owner politely asked him to leave and gave him a red packet with two thousand yuan inside. He has eaten over ten tons of food and still felt unfulfilled. So in reality he cannot afford food; instead, he eats soil in his dream world. He dug deeper into the darkness of the cave until reaching a point where it was warm enough to see red magma flowing slowly. With an air of indifference, Cao Rui took a step into the lava and began to drink it greedily. As he drank, he felt an itchy sensation in the back of his throat. Not knowing what was happening, he took a deep breath and suddenly couldn’t stop the flow of something invisible entering his mouth - a fiery elemental force that was visible now - as if an unstoppable vacuum cleaner was drawing it in from the lava. After an unknown period of time, all Cao Rui knew was that this seemingly endless lava world seemed to dim slightly while he felt himself satiated with energy rather than food as expected; indeed his body no longer craved hunger due to this elemental force which had taken over as his sustenance instead of regular food items which only served as vessels for its energy now being absorbed into him continuously without end until even visible light from surrounding areas seemed brighter due to this influx of energy into existence itself becoming more vibrant around him from its influx of power into beingness itself - a state where neither hunger nor satiation exist but only an eternal flow of energy that sustains all things including himself as an entity within this universe where nothing goes unnoticed or undone by its infinite power source - himself as a dragon who has found his purpose in this newfound way of consuming energy rather than mere sustenance from mundane foods which only ever satisfied hunger temporarily but never truly nourished one’s beingness on any level beyond mere survival instincts driven solely by their biology designed only for reproduction at scale numbers game known as “life”.A new chapter begins for Cao Rui - one where neither hunger nor thirst are ever-present forces plaguing him again; instead he drinks deep from an endless wellspring of energy that flows through his veins providing him with an unparalleled sense of fulfillment beyond mere physical satisfaction found through consuming food items that only ever provided temporary relief from hunger pains caused by lack of proper nour. Suddenly, Cao Rui felt a sense of danger. Before he could react, a punch hit his abdomen with a force that sent a searing pain through his body. The fist, over ten meters in size, radiated an endless flame that left a scorching sensation on Cao Rui’s skin. Although it was not excruciatingly painful, it was still uncomfortable. This was because Cao Rui had been injured, and this fist had the power to harm him! This creature can harm itself! Cao Rui’s dragon eyes revealed a bloodthirsty glow, with a surging sense of killing circling in his mind. The violent and bloodthirsty genes of the dragon were constantly stirring. This was the first time Cao Rui had been injured since he had transformed into a dragon! The owner of that fist emerged from the molten lava. It was a giant being over two hundred meters tall that appeared human-shaped, with a body that seemed to be made of searing molten rock. This creature was unknown to be a demonic fire beast or something else. In fact, this is a type of elemental creature, the Lava Giant, the master of the underground lava world in the Black Mountain Range. It has been steadily developing in the underworld, but unexpectedly, there is an alien creature that has been absorbing the elemental power of the underworld and the lava world. So the Lava Giant came to investigate what was going on, and unexpectedly found it was a young dragon! As the king of the lava world, there are also dragons. Dragons are associated with the flame gods, but most adult dragons control the skies and beyond. Only young dragons and a few others are found in the underworld and the lava world. The majority of adult dragons are in the sky or in hell. Basically, there are no dragons in the underworld lava world except for those who sleep and don’t want to be disturbed, and they may come down to let the creatures of the lava world serve and protect them. Like Cao Rui’s case, it may be the only recorded case of a dragon coming to the lava world to absorb fire elements in such a large scale. The key point is that it is not a Fire Dragon, nor is it a Red Dragon or an Inferno Dragon. The descendants of the Black Dragon line are the gods of treasure and greed, and the offspring of the Dark Emperor . Red Dragons are the gods of hell and evil, descendants of the great dragon Satan. Satan is also the god of demons and the M.A snakes god, but as a dragon race, he is not mentioned. Notes:“M.A snakes ”The meaning of this temple is the ancient snake in mythology. Looking at the giant with a thick layer of lava armor covering its body, Cao Rui couldn’t help but feel a sense of gravity. The originally sucked-dry energy of the lava has turned into a complete molten rock foundation, dimming the bright lava layer of the underworld. However, it was illuminated by the firelight from the Lava Giant, even the massive black dragon figure. Its huge fist was like a meteor falling, and the punch it delivered was accompanied by a burst of firelight and roaring. Cao Rui’s body seemed to be cast in steel, with black as ink scales reflecting a dark red glow in the firelight. The Lava Giant opened its gaping mouth, emitting a roar that shook the world and distorted the air around it. Cao Rui flapped its enormous dragon wings, each strike causing rolling waves of heat and searing airflow. The battle was about to break out. The Lava Giant’s fist, carrying destructive power, smashed towards Cao Rui, but he dodged gracefully. Then the dragon tail swished, generating a Mach wave that hit the Lava Giant in the chest, sending it flying hundreds of meters away, with bouncing stones everywhere. The Lava Giant roared with anger, and the lava flowing under its lava armor was like boiling blood. It crawled up at an astonishing speed, its fists like flames of the Inferno. Cao Rui weaved through the fire rain with his strong dragon body and nimble movements, using his dragon claws as swords to go straight for the Lava Giant’s body. The battle between them was full of devastating power. Every attack from the Lava Giant is like a desire to completely burn down this world, while every counterattack from Cao Rui is like a force that can tear mountains apart. The collision of firelight and rock, the intertwining of dragon roars and loud bangs, has formed a spectacular battle song. The battle continues, with neither side afraid of the other. Their moves are swift and powerful, each strike seemingly a decisive killing move that could determine the outcome. The duel between the Lava Giant and Cao Rui is undoubtedly a contest of strength and speed. On this battlefield of fire and darkness, every contact triggers devastating explosions. The Lava Giant not only possesses a body stronger than the hardest granite, but also has immunity to flame magic. However, its weakness is also very obvious: extremely cold water can extinguish its hot heart and take away its life. The great and holy black dragon, unexpectedly, did not use the water-based dragon language magic, but instead used its strong body and enormous power to have a fair fight with himself. This action made the protector of the fire elves who love peace, the Lava Giant, very happy. To show respect to the black dragon, it would use its strongest capital to fight against it! The Lava Giant’s body radiated searing lava light, while Cao Rui unfolded his enormous wings and a dark black glow shimmered on his body. The Lava Giant growled and swung its huge fist to smash Cao Rui. Cao Rui quickly dodged and sliced across the Lava Giant’s body with his sharp claws, gouging out a stream of lava. Enraged, the Lava Giant waved its arms and a gush of molten rock erupted, instantly turning the surrounding area into a sea of fire. Cao Rui was not afraid of the fiery lava at all. He rushed towards the Lava Giant and struck his head with his sharp claws like arrows. The Lava Giant desperately tried to block with its arms, but was pushed back several steps by the huge force, causing the ground to crumble. As they once again clashed, the Lava Giant stamped the ground, causing a strong vibration and a shockwave that spread outwards. Cao Rui felt his balance was off and quickly spread his wings and flapped them to avoid the attack. The Lava Giant roared and was about to chase after Cao Rui, but Cao Rui suddenly jumped up from the lava and attacked the Lava Giant’s eyes with his claws. The Lava Giant was caught unprepared and was scratched in the eye by Cao Rui, letting out a painful roar that shook the sky. Cao Rui took advantage of the opportunity to pounce on the Lava Giant and sliced his body with his sharp claws. Lava gushed out. The Lava Giant struggled in pain, trying to break free from Cao Rui’s grasp, but Cao Rui clung tightly to him and attacked relentlessly. However, as the child of lava, the Lava Giant’s eyes and body were not essential to it, and these were not fatal injuries. They only made it difficult for it for a while.
