"She rolled her eyes at me. At me" Kyle hadn't got over the fact that the girl who could barely form a sentence in his presence had the audacity to roll her eyes at him. He was used to people going speechless around him, he was used to girls crumbling in front of him, but what he was not used to was a girl openly showing an attitude towards him. "Does she have any idea who I am?" He carried on with his rant while his best friend Luka laughed at the fact a girl was causing him such irritation. Luka had seen many things over the years that irritated Kyle. Such as his father constantly nagging him to be more ruthless, his men not following orders correctly, his suits getting too small or not having enough tattoos, but never, and I mean never has he ever seen him get so worked up over a girl he had only been with for a couple of hours. "Well, actually no, she doesn't. She hasn't been around this town long enough to know and, by the way you have spoken about her, I don't think she'd much care for who you are." Luka gave him his honest answer because he was the only one who could. No-one would dare speak to the mafia boss the way he does, but these two were more like brothers than friends. They grew up together, were raised together and both thrived in their line of work. The only difference was Luka was a lot softer hearted, he couldn't help it, but Kyle actually liked that he was. It kept him connected to that side of him he had to bury deep down in order to please his father. "What is that supposed to mean?" Kyle got a bit defensive about that comment, but he also genuinely wanted to know why he thought Maze wouldn't be interested or even care. "Well you say you saw a bunch of teddies on her bed? She was wearing dungerees and had her hair tied up in pigtails. Responded better to you being authoritative but gentle tones?" Luka tried giving his friend a minute to click on it but seeing the blank expression on his face he could tell it wasn't going to click on anytime soon. "Mate, you have found yourself a Little". Kyle wasn't sure how to respond. He knew what a little was, but he'd never been with one. "Littles don't really respond well to our world. The whole point of their regression is to be in their safe space, to feel free from responsibilities or worries that occur in their adult life. Violence, fear, unsettled relationships, aren't something that should be placed in that safe space. You, however, are the definition of those things. Yes, she may be drawn to you, but ultimately, she will choose to avoid you and, if that wasn't the case, you should remove yourself." Luka was very sensitive about this subject because he was what you would call a 'Daddy Dominant' and his girlfriend was also his little. "Oh really? Because last time I checked you didn't remove yourself from my sister's life", Kyle said in a challenging tone, but Luka didn't take offense because that was what the two were like. He also didn't take offensive because it was true, his girlfriend was in fact his best friend's sister. "That's different, she was raised in this world herself, and you know damn well when she's around I keep that side as far away from her as possible." He made a very good point, not once has Lillian seen the side of Luka that would scare her after the first time it happened. It still makes him cringe when he thinks of how terrified she was when she saw him beating one of the men who was found to be a mole. She locked herself in her room and refused to let him near her for several weeks. He swore to her that she would never see that side of him again, but if he ever broke his word he would walk away himself, and that made him sure he would never break it.
Maze had just finished her classes for the day and was struggling to believe that the last lecture she was in was only an hour long. At one point she could have sworn she felt wrinkles growing on her face from how slow time had become in that classroom. When she got to her room, the pajamas she had picked for herself that morning were calling for her. She was exhausted and her pajamas had never looked so comfy. After jumping in the shower, she got changed into them and jumped straight into the middle of her stuffies. "Heyo babies!!" she greeted them with such happiness. People thought she was strange, but Maze was comfortable in her world and would much rather be in the one she created than be in the one that made everyone seem so miserable. Just as her show was about to start, she heard a knock at her door. She assumed it was the chinese she had ordered a little earlier, but once again she was wrong. It was a girl around Maze's age standing at the door. She had bouncy brunette hair, piercing green eyes and a button nose covered in freckles. She couldn't help but notice the pikachu onesie she was wearing with pointy ears attached to the hood and the fluffy yellow socks matching it. "Hi, im so so soooo sorry to bother you... Oh my god your pajamas are soooo cute!! Anyway, I wanted to come say hello, seeing that we're the only 2 people on this floor and, yeah, here I am". Whoever this girl was, she seemed very energetic and a little weird, but that is something Maze liked about people. "Hello, did you just move in here too?" Maze was surprised she hadn't seen her before today, she must be a really quiet person or Maze was just way too oblivious like her uncle had been saying. "Nooooo this is my second year here, but I'm still completely clueless about college to be honest". "Yeah I don't see myself picking up on the whole grown up living anytime soon. So how come it's just us 2 on this whole floor when all the other ones seem so chaotic? Not that I'm complaining". Maze let out a laugh at the end. It's not that she didn't like people, people just didn't seem to like her, but she knew that would be the case once she was open about being a little. "I don't know. You get what you pay for I guess, but that just means more privacy and less interruptions." The girl peaked over Mazes' shoulder and her jaw dropped when she got a sneaky peak of the room. "I LOVE what you've done with your room!! Is that a care bear rug!!" Maze couldn't hold back the big smile that came across her face when she saw another girl excited about the things that excite her. "Yes it is, did you want to come in? It's kind of quiet and I don't think I've spoken to another human since I've been here." She opened up the door to make it clear she was genuine about wanting her to stay instead of just being polite. "Really? That would be so awesome. I don't really talk to many people either". Both the girls headed over to the bed and got themselves comfy. Maze appreciated how careful the girl was with her stuffies when moving them over to get on the bed. "I'm sorry I didn't ask before, but what's your name?" She felt silly only just asking her, especially as she had just invited this stranger into her room. The girl let out a laugh, "It's okay I completely forgot to even tell you!! It's Lillian, but you can call me Lilly."
