Episode 4 GRANDMA SCOTT

1274 Words
A plus sized American red Indian woman called Mrs. Scott was standing in her living room, wearing trainers while she stood infront of her king sized ring light as she fixed her phone into the handle. She was going to make a t****k video and post to talk about her endless beauty and how men will never let her go despite her old age. “Hello sweeties.” She said posing sexily and cutely infront of the camera but that’s not what David saw when he walked into the living room. He saw a wriggly old woman who desperately don’t want to accept the fact that she’s already old. “Grandma Scott, don’t tell me you haven’t quit this t****k s**t even after the backlash to the company.” “Oh come on. I have to show my babies that I’m aging backwards.” She said giggling and turning around to show off her sagging buttocks. “Do you see babes. Your mama is hot.” David looked at her and rolled his eyes before he sighed out heavily. She stopped her video and stared at her grandson closely before smiling to herself. “I heard you got someone pregnant.” He was shocked and he almost sprang up to his feet immediately. “Where did you hear that?” She laughed while coming towards him. “I know everything David. You can’t keep important and joyous matters like that away from me.” “How did you know about it? I clearly told that wacko girl not to say anything...” “None told me anything.” She sat down and grabbed a bottle of water which sat at the table all these while and opened it. She took a sip and covered it up watching the funny expression on her grandson’s face. The jerky grandson who have sworn not to give her great grandchildren before she passes on. So many times, he have rejected marriage proposals, girls she would go out of her way to get for him, he’d reject them and say__ MARRIAGE IS A WASTE OF TIME. Isn’t it God who caught him this time? She’s so happy. Her friend’s daughter who recommended she see a shaman to help her is such a good girl. She introduced her to the popular Korean shaman who lives in New York. She had herself fly there just to see her. She couldn’t believe it when the shaman said he will get married until this news of David getting someone pregnant reached her ears. “Grandma Scott, I don’t know what you’re thinking in your head while you stare at me like that but I’m not going to marry her. We’ve talked things out between us and we’ve agreed to abort the child and keep this under wraps.” “Abort the child?” She asked while he nodded his head. In his mind, he really thinks he’d win this time. She began to laugh, so hard that David became confused. “Grandma.” “You really think you will abort my great grand child?” “What do you expect me to do then? Let her give birth to my child? Grandma come on, you know I don’t like her. Or are you suggesting I marry her?” “Yes.” She snapped. “You’re going to marry her.” “Hell no! Grandma you lie, I’m not going to marry her.” “You will marry her and that’s final.” “I have a girlfriend who I love so much. I’ve betrayed her enough by cheating on her and getting someone else pregnant.” She shrugged. She was standing up and she was already leaving. “I think this is the best time I get to meet my in-laws.” “In-laws!!” She was almost at the exit door, “Grandma, you’re kidding right? I can’t marry someone like her. She’s not beautiful! She’s not attractive.” She halted in her tracks smiling from ear to ear. “And you still slept with her? Isn’t that love?” “That’s...” “Tidy the room for me please. Bye.” She snapped and left the room while he screamed ontop of his voice. “Nooooooo!!!” DAVID No. No. I can’t marry her! My grandma is joking! How can she say that so easily. Like she have been waiting for this moment her whole life. We’ve sorted this out ourselves after several arguments but with the help of Ollie we reached to an agreement of taking the baby out. She won’t have the baby. The hate is mutual. She proved it to me. She can’t see herself carrying my baby just the same way I can’t bear to see someone like her be the mother of my child. And it was settled. No one would know about it. I don’t trust her but this time I had to force myself to trust that she’s not going to let anyone know. The only thing left is to call Natalie and speak to her. Convince her. Talk to her. And make her see reasons with me. That I’m really sorry about what happened. She’s not someone I should’ve cheated on. She’s not someone I should’ve meddled with. I’ve dated her for close to nine years and she never complained or whined about anything. I’ve never had such a smooth relationship like I did with her. (Breathless) But then__ Dustfinger came and dusted my life. All this time!!! I’ve been __ I’ve been trying to condone her excesses, wishing that someday I will walk her out of my company. Now, we kissed_Had s*x!! And now she’s pregnant! And Grandma Scott really wants me to marry her. My phone rang, “Hello Ollie?” I answered without looking at the caller id. “This isn’t Ollie, it’s me babe.” That’s when I checked my phone screen. “Natalie?? Oh my angel? Are you okay? Are you back from set?” There was a brief moment of silence which got my heart ticking like a time bomb. “I heard what happened.”she said. For God’s sake!! Who’s spreading this news!!! Dustfinger must’ve betrayed me and not kept her mouth shut like she promised! I shouldn’t have trusted her. “Natalie I can explain.” “It’s okay. You’ve always been like that all your life. It’s just I failed to see it by turning a blind eye always.” “Natalie...” “Are you going to marry her?” “Heck no! I’m not going to marry her.” I need to convince her, “How can I marry someone like that! You know how she is, I don’t even know what I was thinking when I slept with her.” “David, you don’t have to explain to me. I always knew that you have a thing for her since the first day she walked into your company and told you her name. You told me by yourself that you hated her but there’s no minute when you don’t talk about her.” “Natalie, you’re seeing this the wrong way. We have to meet and talk about this.” “There’s nothing to talk about__” “You free this evening?” I interrupted her. I didn’t want her to turn me down. I need to explain and I want her to listen to me instead of assuming things which never happened. She was silent and that silence was killing me. “Are you at home?” I asked. “Yes, I just came back few moments ago.”
