It's been two weeks since Dad was arrested, and life has started to settle again. It almost feels strange not living in chaos, but a good strange the kind I could get used to.
At the weekend, as part of Aunt Layla's attempt to 'heal' us, she tells me to invite Jeremiah over for a barbecue and Olly to invite Jane. I have no idea what it will be like to have Jane, Jeremiah and Dane together, but I pray it will be fine.
This is my way of dealing with things, now. Not praying, exactly, but believing. Trusting. I am taking the good when it comes and the bad the same way, knowing each moment is fleeting. I think I've spent so long living in fear, that somewhere along the way, I forgot how to just live, but it's not too late to start-it's never too late.
