The moment Claire turned toward the crowd with that wicked smirk on her face, I knew it was over.
“Manor High!” Claire’s voice echoed through the hall, ringing with excitement. “Here’s the big secret you’ve all been waiting for.” She announced, her eyes fixed on me wickedly.
My heart sank into my stomach, my body frozen in place. I knew what was coming, but hearing her say it still felt like a punch to the gut.
