Riley’s pov “Got it,” I replied, a wave of relief washing over me. I was glad she understood me and this would finally be over soon. “Wait!” Lisa called out just as I reached for the door. "Let’s meet back here right after class. And remember, be discreet." I nodded, opening the door quietly, scanning the hallway before stepping out. As I walked back to class, I could feel the eyes on me, but I kept my head down, ignoring them. I headed straight for my usual spot in the back row and sank into my seat, hugging my bag tightly to my chest. The conversation with Lisa replayed in my mind. I just wanted this day to be over, to get on with the plan. I used to care about Claire, but if she wanted to make an enemy out of me, she'd learn exactly what that meant.
