Chapter 7

Alexander’s pov I grabbed my car keys the moment I stepped into my room and stormed out. My inner wolf was raging. It took everything in me not to lose control back there. My father’s guts disgusted me more than anything. The nerve of him to always act like he cared. Every move he made, every word he spoke, was for his own selfish gains. He never gave a damn about us, not since we were kids. He ruined us—turned us into the monsters we are now. If it wasn’t for… “Watch where you’re going, loser!” A loud, angry voice pulled me out of my thoughts. “s**t!” I cursed, yanking the steering wheel as I barely avoided crashing into the guy’s car. I’d completely forgotten I was even driving. I sighed in relief, my heart slowing down, and a sly smile tugged at the corner of my lips. I finally made the last turn into my safe haven, the one place that calmed me. "MIDNIGHT SANCTUARY" was written in bold letters on the tall, sleek building. Exotic cars were parked all over the yard. This wasn’t just any club. It was exclusive, meant for the rich and influential. Even though I’d just turned eighteen, I’d been coming here since I was sixteen. Thanks to my father’s connections, of course. “Welcome, Sir Alex.” The bouncer greeted me with a respectful bow, holding the door open for me. I gave a slight nod, not bothering with more than that. The moment I stepped inside, I could feel eyes on me from all directions. “Wow…he’s so sexy,” I heard a voice whisper. “I wish I could have him for just one night…devour him,” another voice chuckled, sultry and eager. A smirk crept across my lips. This was what I thrived on—being the center of attention, having girls throw themselves at me. But I never went for the ones who were too obvious. I liked hunting for the innocent ones, breaking them down piece by piece, using them, and then shattering their hearts. It gave me a twisted thrill every time. “Wel…welcome, boss,” Mister Jin stammered as he came up to greet me with a handshake. The manager was always trying too hard to stay on my good side. Mister Jin was a greedy bastard. I had no respect for him. He’d do anything for money, and I made sure to use that to my advantage. I tossed him more cash than he deserved, and in return, he did whatever I asked without question. “I already got—” “Get me the newest, sexiest stripper you’ve got,” I cut him off mid-sentence. “Bring her to my private room. Now.” I commanded , my hands tucked into my pockets as I walked away.
