Kanba, The Mysterious Young Man

The Sun has risen one spear high, Du Angu invites Jin for a breakfast before leaving. At first, Jin wants to refuse but his stomach says something different. He lost a lot of energy after the big fight and need to refill it with some food. Finally, he decided to accept the offer, moreover, he doesn't have money left to buy food.

Jin eats the foods voraciously and that makes Du Angu happy. Li, the old servant, was very good at cooking traditional foods. All the foods that are served by Li, end up in Jin's and Du Angu's stomachs.

"Thank you for your kindness Mr. Du Angu. I will not forget about this. I hope one day I will have a chance to pay for your kindness." Jin stands up and bows to Du Angu.

Du Angu also stands and bows to Jin. "No need to be too formal like that, Jin. I don't expect any return from you or anyone who come here. The happiness when seeing my patients healthy is something that money can't buy."

"Mr. Du, I think this is the time for me to go. I still have a long journey to go, and see you again." Jin said farewell. Although he feels bad because directly leaving after eating, he prefers to do that because he doesn't have anything to do or to discuss with Du Angu.

"Okay, be careful on your way. I hope we can meet again one day."

Jin walks outside the house. In front of the door, he met a young man approximately the same age as him. He smiles at the young man and walks past him. The young man stares at Jin until Jin is gone in the corner of the road. That young man is Kanba, the one that Boshiki talks about. He intended to meet Du Angu who sent the letter to Hu Huaiyu and wants to discuss the thing mentioned in the letter. But, he doesn't know if the young man who can survive The Black Devil Curse and live past 15 years old has gone from Du Angu's place.

"Hello, excuse me," Kanba said in front of Du Angu's door.

Li, the servant, opened the door and asked Kanba's purpose of arrival. "What can we do for you, young man?"

Kanba shows Li the letter from Du Angu to Hu Huaiyu and the old servant immediately reports to Du Angu before letting Kanba inside. Du Angu asked Kanba to come inside as he wants to talk in private with the young man about Hu Huaiyu's existence.

"Greeting, Mr. Du Angu." Kanba said first when both of them meet.

Du Angu feels something weird with Kanba as if he knows Kanba for a long time, but they just met today. "Greeting, young man. Are you coming here because Hu Huaiyu asked you, Mr. Kanba?" Du Angu said while looking deeply at Kanba's face that pretty much looks like Hu Huaiyu. He feels Kanba is like the younger version of Hu Huaiyu, but it is understandable as Kanba is Hu Huaiyu's relatives.

"Just call me Kanba, I feel weird if you called me like that, Mr. Du Angu."

"Okay, Kanba," Du Angu agreed as Kanba is way younger than himself. "So, what can I do for you?" Du Angu doesn't think if Hu Huaiyu sent Kanba to help him cure someone with a severe wound just like what he asked in the letter. Although Du Angu predicts if Hu Huaiyu taught Kanba much of his knowledge, he thinks if Kanba was still too young to handle a serious injury.

"I'd like to meet the person that survived The Back Devil Curse." Kanba asked without hesitation.

Du Angu doesn't expect if Kanba will be to the point like that. "I am sorry, I am afraid you can't because he left from this place a moment ago."

"What do you mean, Mr. Du Angu? Didn't you tell me, I mean told Uncle Hu if that man is severely wounded?"

"Yes, indeed. But, a miracle happens, his wounds were healed just in one night. When I check him this morning, he is as healthy as ever, all his wound has gone completely."

"How is that possible? Did you give him a special medicine?" Kanba curiously asked, he thought if someone else gave Du Angu a heavenly medicine. Kanba knows some heavenly ancient medicine that can save anyone as long as he is still alive no matter how severe their condition is. But, most of the ingredients and how the way to make those heavenly medicines has gone from the people's knowledge. One of the heavenly medicine is The Dragon Blood Pill that is in the possession of Princess Imma, the leader of the Southern Desert Tribe.

"No, I don't have that kind of medicine. Only a legendary healer like Hu Huaiyu can create such a medicine," Du Angu answered. "I also didn't know how that young man can recover that fast. He said it was all a miracle." Du Angu kept his promise to Jin and doesn't mention the gem to anyone.

"That's weird," Kanba thought for a while. "Could you tell me where that young man was going to?"

"I am sorry, I didn't ask him. I thought Mr. Hu didn't interested, so I didn't hold him to wait here."

"That's too bad," Kanba is disappointed because he has traveled far away to meet the one who survived the Black Devil's curse. "Very well then, as I don't have any more business in here, I will leave now, Mr. Du Angu. Ah, before I leave, could you tell me the name of that young man?!"

"Sure, his name is Jin. That's all I know." Du Angu feels weird why Hu Huaiyu is sending a young man like Kanba, it is not like Kanba wants to send the message from Hu Huaiyu to him, it's more like Kanba is Hu Huaiyu himself from the way Kanba speak, charismatic, and also his confidence. But, he knows that is impossible, "No one can roll back their age, isn't it?" Du Angu questioned himself.

"Thank you, Mr. Du," Kanba said and then walks towards the front door, but he stopped before stepping outside the door and turn his head to Du Angu once more time. "One more thing that I forgot to tell you, Mr. Du Angu. Don't try to find Hu Huaiyu again, he is no longer exists in this world." Kanba leaves while Du Angu still thinking about the meaning of his words.

"Wait! Hey! Wait!" Du Angu realizes some important things in Kanba's last words and he wants to confirm it with Kanba, but, Kanba has left the house. Du Angu runs to the front door to chase Kanba, and Kanba has gone from the street, no trace of his presence at all although it is only less than three seconds after Kanba stepping outside the house. "Where is he? Where is he?" He said while continuously throwing his head around to find Kanba.

Du Angu getting more sure if Kanba is Hu Huaiyu from the last words that Kanba said to him. Although it seems impossible for a normal human, it is possible for Hu Huaiyu, The King of Medicine. Du Angu believes if Hu Huaiyu has unlocked the secret of immortality and managed to roll back his ages.

"If Kanba is truly Hu Huaiyu, it will be something that changes the entire world." Du Angu said to himself. He regrets the slow thinking that makes him lose Kanba's trace. He realizes if today he lost two golden opportunities with two young and mysterious men. First, he forgot to ask how Jin can survive the Black Devil Curse beyond 15 years of age, moreover, Jin can use an extraordinary martial arts technique, which should be impossible for anyone with the Black Devils Cursed body, and now, his slow reaction makes him lost the opportunity to ask Kanba thoroughly about who he is for real.

"Two young and mysterious men with extraordinary ability have appeared in this world. I feel something big going to happen to this world." Du Angu said while looking upwards to the blue morning sky, he no longer tries to look for Kanba's presence. He somehow feels if Jin and Kanba will change the current world.
