Broken Heart

Jin doesn't want to debate with the guards because he doesn't want his presence to be known by anyone except Youra and his family. The bad memories when he was expelled from this sect after being slandered by Hyul and his friends still haunt his mind. He decides to sneak inside the Golden Flame sect just the way he enters Xian city.

Jin walks away from the gate, not to give up but to square off. After making sure no one is around him, he runs very fast until to the point where no ordinary eyes can see his movements. He successfully passes the gate guards without any of them seeing him, what they feel is only a strong wind that suddenly blows towards them because of Jin's speed, but, none of the guards were suspicious of it.

Jin thought that he has successfully sneaked inside The Golden Flame sect, but, Jin too much underestimated the ability of The Golden Flame's warrior. Kim Sang Pil, who is walking towards his working place, sees his movements and immediately runs fast to catch Jin.

Kim Sang Pil suddenly appeared beside Jin and ran side by side with him. Not only running, but Kim Sang Pil also attacked Jin by trying to grab his collar. Jin is surprised by someone who can toe to toe with his speed and evades by dodging sidewise. Jin decides to stop his moves as he knows the one who attacked him is Kim Sang Pil, the head of the guards of The Golden Flame sect which is also one of Youra's uncles.

"How dare you breach inside our sect. Do you think you can do that without being noticed?! You are too naive. I will put you in jail." Kim Sang Pil threatened Jin, he still doesn't know Jin's Identity because Jin had changed a lot since the last time they met when Jin was 8 years old kid.

"Greeting, Uncle Sang Pil," Jin greeted while clenching his fist. His action is unexpected by Sang Pil who is surprised because the one who breach inside his sect knows him

"Who are you?! Don't ever think that because you know my name I will not punish you." Although he said harshly, he was still curious about the young man's identity.

"I am sorry, Uncle. I didn't mean to do bad things in here, I just want to meet Youra to return her necklace, but, the guards didn't allow me." Jin explained.

"Why would Youra want to meet you?! Don't talk rubbish," Kim Sang Pil didn't believe Jin's words, he thought it was only the way for him to escape from punishment. "Surrender now or I will attack you!" Kim Sang Pil was serious with his words and prepared his stance to attack Jin.

"Wait...wait, please, Uncle," Jin raised his hands to show that he is not dangerous. "I am Jin, the kid who used to work with Jung Kook."

"Jin!?" Kim Sang Pil thought for a moment, he remembered a kid named Jin who had saved his nephew, Youra, the countless time many years back. Moreover, about Jin's heroic actions when he saved Youra and the world during the battle with Rot'un Jere. Although Sang Pil didn't join in the battle, he knew all of this secret information from Ja Som Fa, Youra's father, who was directly involved in the fight at that time. But, Jin has gone for many years without a trace, and everyone, including Youra, thought if Jin has died because of his Black Devil's cursed body. "That's impossible! If you are truly Jin, your age should be way past 15 years old, how can you still alive with The Black Devil's cursed body?! Not to mention you can use body lifting techniques to that level. That's impossible for someone who has The Black Devil's cursed body." Sang Pil didn't believe that easily.

"I know it sounds crazy, Uncle. But, I can prove it to you," Jin said confidently. He takes one of his necklaces out and shows it to Kim Sang Pil. "This is Youra's necklace, she gave me when we met for the last time more than six years ago." Jin throws the necklace to Kim Sang Pil so he can check it closely."

Sang Pil looks at the necklace carefully and he knows if that was the real necklace the legacy of his family who was given to Youra by his mother, Youha. His hard face slowly turns to a soft one, he starts to believe Jin's words. Although it is against the rules to breach inside the sect unproperly, this time he decides to let Jin without punishment in exchange for Youra's life that was being saved by Jin many times.

Sang Pil throws back the necklace to Jin and asked Jin to follow him inside his working room. He has many questions to ask Jin, and also has something to say to the young man. He sits behind his working desk while Jin sits in front of him.

"Now, tell me, Jin. How did you survive the Black Devil's curse until this old." Kim Sang Pil doesn't waste time by chit-chatting and directly to the point of his questions.

Jin feels hesitant to answer as he doesn't have the burden to explain anything to anyone and feels as if he is a prisoner that is being interrogated, but, this time he holds himself and keeps answering Sang Pil's questions as much as he could and hides the most of the truth. He doesn't want him and his teacher's secret to be known by everyone.

Time goes by and Jin has told Sang Pil what he feels necessary about his secret. "That's how I survived the Black Devil's Curse, Sir."

Sang Pil feels Jin still hides something from him, but, he doesn't have the right to force him to tell everything. He realizes if Jin is not his prisoner anyway. "That was unbelievable, to think that someone has the capability to cure The Black Devil's cursed body. May I know that person's name and where he is right now?"

"I am sorry, Sir. My teacher has passed away a few months ago. I am sorry because I couldn't tell you much more than this." Jin politely refused to answer more than he should.

"Well, it's okay, everyone has their own secret. I won't force you if you don't want to say it." Sang Pil wisely said.

"Thank you very much, Sir. Can I meet Youra now?"

"Yes, sure, I'll give you a plaque so no one will be questioning your presence." Sang Pil said while taking out a special plaque for VIP guess and giving it to Jin. He never thought if someone who many years ago was being expelled from his sect is now getting his VIP plaque to enter the sect anytime. But, he doesn't regret giving Jin the VIP plaque considering Jin's sacrifice to save his niece, Youra.

"Okay, thank you very much, Sir." Jin said with a wide smile and almost left the building before Sang Pil hold him.

"Wait a minute, Jin," He said and Jin stopped walking. "You need to know if our sect is now different from before, this time Ja Som Fa is not our headmaster anymore, but, Kim Yong."

"Pardon me?! Did you say, Kim Yong, Sir? Didn't he get punished for k********g Youra that time?" Jin doesn't understand why Kim Sang Pil said that.

Kim Sang Pil release a heavy breath before start speaking, "Ja Som Fa is a soft guy, he didn't punish Kim Yong severely after that incident and only exiled Kim Yong to a distant place. His wife, Kim Youha, also had an important role in that decision. Both of them think if that incident was a family problem and a disgrace to the family name if it was spread to the entire sect. That's why they decided to keep that case secretive, no one knows except themselves and me," Kim Sang Pil start telling Jin about the recent situation in The Golden Flame sect. "Although I am the oldest in the family tree, the final decision was on Ja Som Fa, the headmaster of the sect at that time. I couldn't do more."

Jin now understands why Kim Yong didn't punish severely amidst his terrible act of k********g Youra at that time. But, he still doesn't understand why he can become the headmaster of The Golden Flame sect and decided to ask. "How Kim Yong could become The Headmaster of this sect? What happened to Master Ja Som Fa?" Jin is getting curious and forget if his main goal was to meet Youra.

"Ja Som Fa is on a terrible illness since 5 years ago and is only able to lay on the bed. No healers can cure him, even none of them understand what his illness was. We had done a lot of things to make him healthy as before but none of them working until now," Kim Sang Pil answered in sadness. "The elders finally decided to make Kim Yong the successor of Ja Som Fa until he is healthy and can take the charge again. But, it has been over than five years and no improvement on Ja Som Fa's condition as of now."

"Why didn't you take the charge of this sect? I believe you will do much better than Kim Yong." Jin said his opinion.

"It's because of Mangkook's family. Kim Yong with the power of the Mangkook family's money can make the elder to chosen him instead of me. As the result, this sect is now lost its soul and becoming more profit-oriented. We produce less skillful warriors compared to our past. Mangkook's family ruining our city too, you can see the difference in Sinmu city if you pass it, and also the other city in our guards.

Jin can see Kim Sang Pil's facial expression. More or less he can understand the terrible situation in the Golden Flame sect. "Yes, I almost did not recognize Sinmu City when I arrived today."

Kim Sang Pil doesn't know why he suddenly told his internal family and sect's problems to the outsider like Jin, maybe, it's because deep inside his heart, he wants someone to help him revolute the Golden Flame sect that is now dragged by Kim Yong to the lowest level as Kim Yong only thinks about money and profit, not the development of the Golden Flame's martial arts.

"As for Youra, I hope you will not be disappointed in her. She is going to married next week."

Kim Sang Pil's last words are like a bolt of lightning that strikes Jin's heart and makes him feel languid in an instant. "Thomp... Thomp..." His heart beating so fast as he doesn't want to believe in the news from Kim Sang Pil.

"W...who. With whom?" Jin's voice is almost unheard by Kim Sang Pil as he tries hard to control his broken heart.

"With Hyul. Youra will marry Hyul, Jin. I hope you can be big-hearted to accept it."

Youra marrying Hyul is the last thing that Jin wants to hear. Jin looked down on the floor, his heart was soo hurt, he never felt anything like this before and it's more painful than any external wound that he ever felt in his life. "It's...it's okay, Uncle. I... I hope she will be happy with Hyul," Jin tried as hard as he can for not to cry. "Thank you for the information, Uncle." He leaves Sang Pil's office limping, his heart has been shredded to pieces. The one that becomes his motives to keep living until today has out of his reach anymore. All of sudden, he feels his life is meaningless.

Kim Sang Pil can feel Jin's broken heart, but he can not do anything about it. Some part of his heart regretted his decision to tell Jin about Youra, but it's too late to pull it back. He is only able to hope the best for Jin's and Youra's future..
