Chapter 17

Lord Kenji took Hiromi to her room, and the physician examined her. The physician told Yumi that she only needed to rest because she had no fractured bones. To gain vigor, the physician advised her to consume herbal tea. Hiromi was then cleaned and dressed in new garments by the female servants, as ordered by the first prince. Hiromi is still sleeping, such as a sleeping princess. Meanwhile, the palace was preparing for an upcoming feast. The Shibuya Empire attended this ceremony. This event is a royal family gathering to discuss the forthcoming marriage of First Prince Haru and Princess Fumiko. The First Prince Haru's eyes were closed as he imagined a wedding plan with Princess Fumiko. Yoshi, his male servant, was on the side, keeping an eye on him. Outside of his chambers were the rest of his servants and warriors. “Yoshi, how is Hiromi-san doing?” asked the first prince while his eyes were still closed. "Yumi-san stated the physician advised her that Hiromi-san merely needed to rest and drink herbal tea, Your Highness," Yoshi answered. The first prince opened his eyes wide. "Who is Yumi-san?" The first prince was curious. "Yumi-san comes from Gushiken Province, in the eastern part of Oshiro. She is Hiromi-san's female servant, but she is currently training as a samurai since Hiromi requested it to the Emperor," he said to the first prince. The first prince rose from his seat and walked over to Yoshi. “Who ordered Shogun Kenji to come here to Oshiro Palace? He should be in Tsuyoshi Province only. He has no right to compete with Hiromi-san!" The first prince was enraged. Yoshi was surprised by what the first prince said, and then he smiled as he realized that the first prince's heart was gradually falling for Hiromi. The first prince ordered his male servant Yoshi that Lord Kenji not reach Hiromi. Because of this, Yoshi instantly told Yumi what the first prince desired. The first prince is also getting ready for the upcoming royal family gathering. In frustration, he couldn't help but punch the mirror. This bronze mirror has one smooth polished side and an attractive motif of two cranes encircled by pine boughs with a notch used to connect a thread to hold up the mirror in the center. The first prince was frustrated with himself since he couldn't accomplish what he wanted because he couldn't disobey the emperor. All the first prince wants is to be able to do anything he wants without anybody controlling his life, but because he is a member of the royal family, he shouldn't tarnish his status as the first prince. The ten servants in a large chamber were preparing for Princess Fumiko's junihitoe. She was ecstatic because she had long harbored a secret crush on the First Prince Haru. She journeyed with the Shibuya Empire a considerable distance to attend this royal family meeting. Their voyage took more than seven days, putting their lives in jeopardy. Princess Fumiko requested this favor from her father, the Emperor of Shibuya, to marry the First Prince of Oshiro Palace. Additionally, the Emperors of Oshiro and Shibuya consented to the marriage of their offspring, First Prince Haru and Princess Fumiko. Meanwhile, Hiromi opened her eyes as though she was shocked at where she was. When she awoke, she realized she was still in the ancient era, which made her sad. Hiromi immediately remembered her duel with Lord Kenji, and she was curious about who had brought her to the room. "You're awake, Hiromi-san!" said a gentle male voice. “Lord Kenji?” Hiromi looks at him with wide eyes. He said to Hiromi, “I'm not here for a duel. I've come here to beg for your pardon for what I did. I know you're hurt, so I came here immediately to see how you're doing.” According to Hiromi, everything is fine. Yumi suddenly shows up with herbal tea for Hiromi. Shogun Kenji's presence in the room surprised her off guard. “Lord Kenji?” Yumi is shocked. Yumi quickly gave the Tsuyoshi shogun a bow in respect. Lord Kenji tells Hiromi and Yumiko that he has just paid a visit to see how Hiromi is doing. Hiromi decided to take a walk because she was already feeling better. As a result, Yumi and Lord Kenji accompanied her. Kenji formally introduced himself to them because they hadn't met yet. Hiromi and Yumi exchanged glances to confirm that Lord Kenji was handsome. Hiromi recalls what happened at the hospital before she entered this realm as they walked. Hiromi sobs by herself in a hospital room corner, unsure of what to do with her life in the wake of the car tragedy, and her boyfriend Haru kisses her and promises that they will always be together since they admire each other. Hiromi's chest hurt because she could still feel Haru in her heart. When Hiromi heard what Lord Kenji had to say, her senses awakened. Lord Kenji was concerned and said, "Are you alright, Hiromi-san?" When Hiromi, Yumi, and Lord Kenji heard fighting, they came to a halt. They noticed the two arguing people were coming. The three of them heard a conversation between two people arguing. A male voice said, "You're being wicked. Why are you asking so many questions? We're ready to go to the gathering." A woman's voice shouted angrily, "It's whose bracelet is it? Why are you reluctant to answer my question? One question, one answer, but you can't answer me directly!” The man inquired, "Who are you in my life, and why do you need to know?" The woman yelled at the man, "Who is the woman you liked?" "I love Hiromi Gushiken! The woman was surprised by what the man told her. Hiromi, Yumi, and Lord Kenji were standing in front of them when Prince Haru and Princess Fumiko paused. Hiromi was surprised by what she heard and looked at Prince Haru. "Yes, Hiromi Gushiken is the only one I love! The first prince looked at Hiromi.
