Chapter 9

Hiromi took out her bow and arrow and hit the enemy soldiers. Hanzo fought off the equestrians with his kusarigama.

A kusarigama is a traditional Japanese weapon and a type of metal chain with a heavy iron weight at the end. Its traits are the longer chain and straight, double-edged blade, with several other traditions preferring a curved, single-edged blade and a much shorter chain. The blade is around 30 cm, with a chain length of 3.6 meters.

Hanzo threw it at the enemies effortlessly. Hiromi's fellow soldiers also rushed forward. When Yumi got off the horse, she picked up the dead soldier's sword and used it in battle. Hiromi continued to hit the enemies with her bow and arrow.

A fierce battle ensued between Hiromi's group and the opposing group. The opponent stabbed one of Hiromi's fellow soldiers with a sword. In Hanzo's anger, he aimed his kusarigama at the opponent's head, which spat blood.

Hiromi was surprised when she saw Yumi could fight.

Hiromi turned to her teammates, who were fighting as well. Sword to sword is the battle.

She also saw Hanzo fighting with the kusarigama against the opponents. Hanzo is also good at dodging and jumping and is skilled in martial arts.

Flashback to Hiromi in her cell phone game that this is not what happened. But they were not attacked by the opponent. Everything changed because Hiromi changed the course that instead, she should stay at Oshiro Palace and not go to Gushiken Province.

Hiromi already regrets that she changed her fate in this world. Because she thought that if she stayed in the palace, what would she do? If she had only accepted the emperor's offer to become a samurai, the outcome of the game she played would have been different.

The life of a samurai is not easy either, so her mind is in turmoil.

Hiromi's body felt strange because she knew how to avoid swords. But she had no idea the opponent would throw her bow.

And the soldier knocked her down and kicked her, so she fell to the ground. The man lifts his sword to kill Hiromi. She was stunned and unable to move.

Hanzo screamed Hiromi's name when he saw that the opponent was about to kill her.

Then suddenly, someone stabs the rival man with a long sword. The opponent's blood splattered on Hiromi's clothes. The form of a young man appeared to help Hiromi.

"Haru?" Hiromi was surprised to see him.

Suddenly, Hiromi came to her senses when she saw the man in front of her. First Prince Haru helped her stand up.

They stared at each other. "Bow down!" Prince Haru shouted at Hiromi.

Hiromi bent down and slashed at the opponent with his sword, almost hitting her. She stood up and ran to retrieve her bow and began to shoot at the enemy.

Prince Haru helped along with his fellow soldiers. After a bloody battle, Prince Haru looked at Hiromi and gasped. Over time, they also defeated the enemy who entered the territory of the Yamato province.

The ruler of the Yamato Clan, Lord Yamato, arrives. He was fifty years old. He was talking to the first prince and the Shogun's daughter.

He tightened the guards at the gate after learning about the enemy's attacks in their area. Lord Yamato also ordered the removal of the bodies of the fallen soldiers and their comrades.

He thanked Hiromi's and the first prince's groups for saving and assisting the community before everyone was apprehended.

With the onslaught of the enemy, Lord Yamato showed his attitude.

“As the leader of the Yamato clan, I was plagued by enemy attacks. This province is my duty to protect, but I have failed. But will it end here? No, let's fight warily!”

Lord Yamato invited the group of young mistresses and the group of the first prince to Ninomaru Palace.

Because of Hanzo's concern, he asks about Hiromi's condition because of their encounter with the opponents. She says she's fine and needs to rest first.

The first prince thought of bringing Hiromi something to drink or eat so they could talk, but he felt that she might wonder why he would come near if they weren't close.

Prince Haru's servant noticed that he was pacing back and forth as if he didn't know what to do. He approached the first prince and spoke to him.

"What can I do for you, Your Highness?" What exactly are you looking for? If you agree, perhaps I can assist you."

"Can you take...," Prince Haru didn't proceed with what he was saying to his male servant.

"Your Highness, who am I going to take?" his male servant asked.

The first prince knew the shogun's daughter's name was Hiromi Gushiken. But he had a hard time reaching her.

"Never mind, just forget it,” replied Prince Haru.

Suddenly, someone arrived, so the male servant approached them. He then tells the first prince that Hiromi and his group are outside.

When he heard that Hiromi was there, he immediately let her in their place. The first prince was in Kaisho with his male servant.

Kaisho means a place where a reunion, party, event, assembly, or meeting is held.

The first prince ordered only Hiromi to go inside and not anyone else. His male servant was next to the first prince.

As soon as Hiromi came in, Prince Haru couldn't help but fall in love with her. She bowed before him as a sign of respect for the First Prince of the Oshiro Palace.

“Your Highness, I am grateful for what you have done to save me, not once, but already twice. So, it's an honor to be able to give you this little present of mine,” Hiromi said.

“You got a present for me? Is that true? I am only fulfilling my duty to help the people of the Oshiro Palace," Prince Haru replied.

Instead of the male servant receiving the present, he immediately accepts the present from Hiromi.

Prince Haru's happiness is indescribable in words when his smile almost reaches his ears.

The First Prince was surprised to see the contents of the wooden box.
