Talia sits in the library with Lucian and the twins for her study session. Today, she is learning about the history of Ignis and how the wars between humans and dragons began. Igneous had been called away by his father’s servant to accompany him to visit Lord Acelar, the 400-year-old patriarch of the land of Jadis just south of Ignis. He had fallen ill and was too sick to travel to the palace for the weekly meetings with the other nobles or the realm. Talia was shocked when Igneous came in to tell her goodbye and to study hard. He was becoming more friendly.
