The first thing Talia sees as she opens her eyes are the stones of the ceiling. As she looks, she notices they are moving. Slowly she begins to feel other sensations. She feels strong hands holding her up, a solid chest against her right ear, and a rocking movement that suggests she is being moved. She blinks several times and adjusts her eyes to the dim light. She looks up to see the delicate chin of Palestine. He looks down at her with the familiar, green eyes she used to trust, and a sad smile spreads over his face. “You’re finally awake.” He says softly. “Put. Me. Down.” Talia hisses and Paladas’ strides slow to a stop. He places her gently on her feet and she pushes him away the second her toes touch the cold stone. She wishes she hadn’t as dizziness colors her vision and she falls
