chapter 9

Felix can be seen bundled up in a corner , he is slowly regaining consciousness and his whole body is in extreme pain . He doesn't understand what had happened and he tried to recollect how he got there

Felix POV

I woke up to the pains in my body , I struggled to get up then I realized I was tied up and I hissed in pain. I try to recollect how I got here and I remember getting to the pack and that's was all.

What could be the reason why I'm here , is there a problem at the pack. Is my father okay , how long have I been here ? I questioned myself . I tried standing up and my body collapsed because of the effect of the wolf bane. It felt as if a lot of needles were pricking my body. It was very uncomfortable and I could barely hear my wolf breathing. In normal situation when there is danger , Lucas always take control and shield my body but this case is very different . I have to be the one bearing the pain for him for as long as I can because the effect of the wolf bane would be stronger if I transform.

The room is bland as there was nothing there except the chair I was tied to. I heard Angela talking to me with mind link but I was too weak to answer her. I knew she was going to be worried and that increased my stress.

My dad doesn't even know I'm coming over , how is he going to know something like this happened to me. I sat in deep thought and continued figuring out how to get out of this mess. I was thankful that I wasn't able to take Angela along with me because I could not imagine what would have happened to her if she had followed me. I patiently waited for the people that took me to at least come into the room but nobody was forth coming. I adjusted my body to bear the pain of the wolf bane and slowly took deep breaths . I need to get out of here for the sake of my father and my mate.

And to get out in going to need external help . I stayed still for some hours and when I could I immediately mind link my father. I asked where he was and that I was taken captive in my way to the pack. He didn't respond and I got alarmed . I tried mind linking his beta too and nobody responded to my mind link . I realized the situation was tougher than I expected and my panic level increased . Angela didn't stop mind linking me and I know I have to tell her what is happening to me so she can tell Chris . Chris is my only option for now and I know Angela is the only one that can inform him for me. I got angry at the fact that vampires can't mind link because I would have mind linked Chris instead of Angela. She would freak out if she know what is happening to me.

I need a lot of time to pull myself together again because after mind linking my pack I lost most of my energy. I calmed myself and waited till I was strong enough then mind linked Angela . I told her she needs to get to Chris and I'm in need of Chris help . As expected she freaked out and started crying . This is why I didn't reach out to her in the first place ........

Angela POV

I was mind linking Felix back to back about my parent agreeing on me being his mate and how my brother came out and they accepted him too but there has been no response. I got anxious and kept mind linking him and I even tried calling his phone but it was out of reach . I knew something was terribly wrong because Felix would not ignore me if that isn't the case but I can't figure out what exactly was wrong .

I started panicking and I called Chris to know if Felix reached out to him already but he told me he has not heard any message from Felix then my anxiety level went on rise . Somehow I know he was in pain because I could feel it but I don't know what type of pain exactly he could be in . I called Mike and asked him to come home because he was over at Chris's and he said okay . One thing about my brother is that he is reliable in times like this. He came home soon after I called him and I immediately started telling him how I haven't been able to reach Felix since yesterday and he said I should calm down that he probably is just caught up with something. I knew that wasn't true but I calmed down as he said and patiently waits for him to contact me . At about 8pm at night Felix mind linked me and I almost ran mad because of what he said .

' Babe , I need you to go to Chris and tell him I've been wolf baned and tired up and my pack aren't responding to my messages ' .

I immediately screamed and went to Mike room then picked his car key and ran back outside . I got into Mike's car and zoomed off to Felix's apartment . I got there and Chris was no where to be found then I called him and he said he is on his way to Felix's pack . He asked where I am and I told him I'm at their apartment and I want to go with him to the pack . He asked me to drive back home and I refused. I told him it's either I follow him or I set out on my own . He agreed and said I should wait at his apartment and then in about three minutes he was standing beside the car. If we were in another situation , I would have teased him about Vampires speed and all of that but I wasn't even in my right senses to begin with . He collected the car key from me and said he is going to drive and we need to drop the car because he doesn't plan on going there with a car and going in a car will draw unwanted attention. I agreed to what he said if it means I'm going with him and he said no problem . He drove back to my house and called Mike to come down and when he did he quickly explained the situation to him. Mike didn't argue and he just hugged and kissed Chris and asked him to promise to be safe. Chris said he promised and then we set out. We took a bus to the last bus stop then got down and ventured into the woods. Thankfully , Chris vampire vision will be able to detect any harmful object of animal before it can get to where we are . On getting far into the wood , Chris asked me to climb on his back and hold on tight then he started running. It was as if I was flying because the speed is unmatched . In less than thirty minutes we got to a place that he told me was Felix's pack entrance and said we need to get to Felix pack and see the situation there first. I mind linked Felix and told him I'm at his pack and that I came with Chris . He didn't respond and I figured he must be too tired to do so .

Chris carefully selected his way into the pack while avoiding every thing along the way . He told me I need to be real quiet and I can't breathe too loud because we don't even know what is along the way. I agreed and held my breath for as long as I can before I breathe a few times then hold my breath again. We got to where is supposed to be Felix's pack and it was a disaster .

There were dead wolf's everywhere and the whole place is deserted of live. I started crying and Chris asked me not to make a sound as Wolf hearing is very sharp . He said he knows a place that can be safe for me to stay and I told him I don't want to stay there and that I want to follow him to go safe Felix . He asked me not to be stubborn and listen to what he have to say and that Felix wouldn't want me to come there. We got to where he said was safe and it was all locked up. Chris listened and called out to the people in there. He said there is a human being that needs to be protected and that he is there to help them . Someone peeped from the room and saw Chris then the person opened the door and Chris and I entered the place .

' Chris what are you doing here and where is Felix ' the person asked

' Felix was captured and wolf baned and this is his mate who he mind linked to get help from me because everyone from the pack wouldn't respond to his mind links ' Chris replied .

The woman looked at me and asked what my name was and I told her it's Angela . She took me to a chair and asked me to sit down while she went back to Chris to discuss.

I listened to their conversation and she said the Alpha didn't want to disturb Felix and that the enemy pack wanted Felix to marry his daughter but the alpha refused and that was when the war got stronger . She also said they've lost a good amount of men and that the remaining ones at war would probably be hanging on to their last breathe by now. Chris asked who the enemy pack was and how to get to their place and the woman told him.

He thanked the woman and came to me saying he has to leave and that I must never leave this place I am except he or Felix come for me. I told him I've heard him and he set out to why I presume is his rescue journey.

After he left I went to the woman and asked how she knew Chris then she told me everyone in the pack know him as Felix's best friend and they've both come to the pack many times.

' aren't werewolf and Vampires enemies ? ' I asked the woman

' we are ,but Felix and Chris are not and also Chris is a good vampire ' she replied.

I said okay and sat back down while communicating with Felix and letting him know Chris took me to the safe house at his pack and that in good and he doesn't have to worry about me and that he should think about how he is going to get out of there . I told him to save up all the strength he can safe before Chris gets there so that he can help Chris fight off the enemies on their way back and that I'm waiting for him to come back to me. I continued mind linking him so as to make myself feel more relaxed and hopefully to give him a reason to hold on because he must not fall asleep. I continued that way until I fell asleep and I remember getting carried into a bed by that woman.

Chris POV

I left the pack safe house to get on my journey and I thought of plans along the way. I know some little spells to mask my scent and I casted those so that my journey can be more discreet. If only Felix's father had told him about the war , it wouldn't have gotten messy like this but I couldn't blame him because he was just trying to protect his son. I started tracking Felix's smell . I got to the entrance of his pack and continued tracking his smell until I got to a place that looks like an abandoned factory . Felix's smell got stronger immediately I got to that place and I knew he was in there . The place is surrounded by wolfs and I went to the bush near there to wait them out. I know I couldn't take all of them down at once and I need a more accurate plan on how I'm going to get Felix out of that place. I noticed that at some point , some of the guards leave and it takes about twenty minutes before others come there and when those ones leaves , it remains like just three wolf's outside the building.

Judging from their smell I could tell they were not ordinary wolfs and they must have done kind of rank . I noticed a female coming around the abandoned factory and peeping in to look at Felix and I concluded that must be the daughter of their alpha. So she is the reason why Felix was kidn*pped. I got flashbacks of my childhood and how I went through the same thing then I got angry and had a change of plans . I'm going to kill all the wolfs guiding him. I watched them till it was time to change shifts and they left one by one . I was waiting for them at their root and attacked them all from the back . They couldn't smell me because I masked my scent and they couldn't see me because they are not vampires.

I killed them all one by one then went to the back of the factory and entered the place by the roof. One of the wolf heard a sound and told the other but the other one brushed it aside that it might just be their fellows coming back. I got to where Felix was kept and I untied him. He was a mess and I felt bad for him. He smiled when I got there and asked why I was so early and that he have not regained his strength yet . I untied him and asked him to heal himself quickly because his healing would be easier without the rod he was tied with. He stood up and rested on the wall then began his healing. After healing , his eyes changed colour and I know Lucas is about to come out. I tapped Felix and shakes my head at the thought of Lucas taking control because that would make it harder to leave here. His eyes changed back to normal and I told him we have to sneak out of here so we can go help his father . He agreed and we got back outside through the hole I came in with and I rubbed the powder I took with me on Felix's body. That way they won't be able to detect his smell.

We set out and when we got the to entrance of his pack he asked me how Angela is and I told him she is in the safe house . He asked if I can go pick her up then return back to the human world because of the war and how he doesn't want her to get caught up in it. I told him that wouldn't be possible because I plan on joining him to fight the war and he asked if I will be okay with that and I didn't have to . I told him in totally fine with it and we set to the war front. Felix followed the sound he was hearing and we got to the war front .....

Felix POV

Chris and I got to the war front and what I saw made my jaw drop. There was blood everywhere and everyone is either fighting with one wolf or two. I sighed for my father and saw him fighting off three wolfs on his own and I knew I had to go help him out. I told Chris to stay at a side and observe the fight first before joining in it. He said okay and I quickly got out of my clothes and transformed. Chris gave me a pat on the back and I howled at the people fighting. I know I have to let Lucas be in charge because he is best at fighting wars like this. History has it that he used to belong to an alpha that fought great battles. I wanted to help my dad fight first before I have over the control to him so I charged at one of the guys holding down my father and because he wasn't expecting it I tore him into two very quickly. I took the throat of the other one in my mouth and tore I'm that one too . I left the remaining one for my father to finish off and I went back into the war of wolfs and started fighting the enemy wolfs. The battle was getting intense every minute and when I got tired I decided to hand over to Lucas to finish off the remaining.......

Angela POV

I woke up to a sharp pain coming from my abdomen and I screamed . My body slowly started getting hot and o wondered why I would get sick by this kind of time. I touched my forehead and it was blazing hot. The women in the safe house immediately crowded me and told the men and boys to go into another room and they locked the door against them . One of them took water into a bowl then put a towel into it and started wiping my body with it. It felt as if different kind of fire were passing through my body at the same time and I felt stuffed . I felt like feeling the touch of someone all over my body and I gasped when I remembered what Felix told me about heat.

' what is happening to me ' I asked the woman that Chris handed me over to be sure of whether I was truly in heat

' you are in heat ' .................
