chapter 8

Angela woke up from her sleep and she got up to go freshen up because it's nearing time for their date . She was in the middle of changing her clothes when she heard a voice that definitely belonged to Felix in her mind

' you are up ' the voice said

She looked around and when she didn't see Felix she concluded her mind was playing tricks on her and then she continued dressing up .

Felix soon came in after she finished dressing and asked why she didn't respond when he mind linked her.

Angela asked what a mind link was and Felix explained to her that since she is now marked by him , they can converse without speaking . He told her all she had to do was direct a thought towards him and he will surely get the message.

She tried doing it and when Felix replied her she was awed by the new ability .

They headed to the amusement park according to their original plan and when they got there it was empty .

There was no body there except the staffs and it made it easier for both of them to relax .

They were having a lot of fun until late into the night when they had to go back home . Angela called her parents and told them she wants to sleep over at her friend's place . Her mother agreed because she assumed the friend was either Ivy or Blue.

They went back to Felix's apartment and met Chris who was sitting at the balcony overlooking the neighborhood.

They both retired to Felix's room as soon as they got home because of how tired Angela was. Felix would be going to visit his pack the day after their second date . The second date was also very fun and Angela was glad she made the decision of going on three dates .

Angela POV

I woke up and started preparing myself for the date we were going to. Felix mind linked me and explained the process of mind linking to me. I was happy to have a new ability and at the same time wowed by the ability to talk to someone without speaking. I already discussed with Ivy and Blue that I wanted to sleep over at Felix's place and they will need to cover up for me should in case my mom calls . They both agreed and now here we are. We got to the park and there was no body there since it was getting late . We had as much fun as we can and I know I made an unforgettable memory right there . I feel glad to have Felix because he is perfect for me and I'm glad I was chosen to be his mate . The day went by quickly and when it was time to leave I called my mum and told her I will be sleeping out. She agreed and asked me to be careful. We went back to Felix's apartment and retired into his room .

I was tired because of all the energy I exerted into playing at the park . Felix cuddled me into his arms and I felt my body getting hot . We stayed like that for a while then I started to think about all the things that could happen between us right there . I was deep into the thoughts when Felix mind linked me saying ' we can do everything you are thinking of ' . I blushed and he asked me to block the mind link whenever I want to have private thoughts .

I asked him if he was up to do what I'm imagining and he said we shouldn't rush things . That doing that will be too soon. We still have a lot of time to do that after getting to know everything about each other. I got emotional while listening to him talk and I kissed him and told him thank you.

He pecked my nose and started patting my back gently till I fell asleep ..........

Felix POV

I heard her breathing pattern changing and knew she was awake , I gave her some time to be fully awake then mind linked her and as expected she didn't respond because I know she doesn't know about the ability yet . She finished dressing and I went to meet her and asked her why she didn't respond to my mind link . She asked what that was and I told her everything she needs to know about it . We set out for our date and it was a wonderful time well spent . I couldn't stop looking at her throughout the date and she was shinning throughout the time we were together. When we left the park she told me she is going to be sleeping over at my place and I sensed Lucas jumping at the idea. I didn't want any thing to happen this time so I blocked him away . We got to the apartment and after greeting Chris we went into my room to sleep .

She started to direct some thoughts at me and I was confused at first until I realized she probably forgot to lock her mind link before thinking and I laughed silently before saying ' we can do everything you are thinking of ' . I noticed her blush then I told her she have to block her thoughts from coming to me whenever she wants to have a private thought. She asked if I'm up to what she was thinking and for some seconds I thought about doing it . But then I remembered that I promised myself not to rush her so I told her no . I explained to her that I don't want to rush her in any way so I can't do that for now. She got emotional and kissed me and said she was thankful. I pulled her closer and pecked her nose then started patting her to sleep . She relaxed herself and I felt her slowly falling asleep till her breath got even and I knew she was sleeping already.

I'm visiting my pack tomorrow and I feel bad for leaving her instead of taking her along with me but we need to get permission from her parents first and to do that my father have to meet them so I pushed the thought of taking her with me aside for now.

Angela POV

Morning came and I woke up to Felix staring at me. I got shy and quickly stood up to go check my face on his dressing mirror. He laughed at my antics and said he was staring at me because I looked pretty and he was happy to have me.

I noticed he was done dressing up and will soon be leaving for his pack and I got sad because I wouldn't see him for a week. He said he was going to use a week over there then come back .

I wanted to go with him but I know I can't considering the fact that my parents don't know anything about this and it will be too rushed to tell them everything at once. I don't even know how in going to explain everything to them yet and I'm still contemplating on how to break it to them. My brother is going to be easy because he already knew about Chris. And my sister will be thrilled because she likes to read mystical books but my parents aren't going to be thrilled about the idea for sure .

He left for the kitchen and made breakfast for us a d after eating he dropped me off at home and headed back to his place. I got in and met Mike on his phone smiling and chatting away and I rolled my eyes . Such a lover boy . He noticed me and said hi to me then continued chatting on his phone. I went into my room and there was Anna sleeping on my bed. I smiled and silently did everything I wanted to do so I wouldn't wake her up. She does that everytime I sleep over at a friend's place . She has always wanted my room . I finished changing and went to the living room , Mike wasn't in again so I went to knock on his room door . He opened and I went in to his room. I sat on his bed and he scrunched his nose . I laughed at him and said if he messes up I'm going to put my legs on his bed. Mike doesn't like it when someone sits on his bed. He ignored me and continued with his phone .

I wanted to tell him about Felix but I didn't know how to go about it. I was conflicted and I didn't know when I dozed off . I woke up to find myself in Mike's bed with his duvet covering me . He was sitting down on his chair backing me and I stood up from the bed and sat on the other chair.

' I need to talk to you ' I said

' go on ' he replied

' I'm sure you know that I am dating Felix now, the same way I know you are dating Chris ' I said

' how did you know that ' he asked

' I'm your sister after all , aren't I ? I know when someone is making you happy ' I said

' okay so what is this about ' he asked

' I'm sure you know Chris isn't human , and the same goes for Felix as well ' I said

' I suspected that , is he also a vampire ? ' he asked

' no he is a werewolf , and I'm his mate which means I have to go with him to his pack very soon and I will have to marry him ' I said

' speak human language please , what you said is too complicated for me to understand ' he said

' okay summary is I'm the mate of a wolf and I have to follow him to his pack because he is the soon to be alpha ' I said

He looked at me like I was from another planet then he seemed like he was deep in thought then he said ' how are you going to explain this to mum and dad ? '

I told him I was confused about that as well and he said he is sure it won't be easy and the earlier the better and that I have to look for the best way to do that without alarming them . I nodded and told him I also know I have to pick my words carefully.

We started brainstorming and then Mike said he had an idea . I asked what the idea was about and he said we have to browse on good werewolf movies that are not tragic at all . The rosy one that doesn't involve blood shed and anything related to fight . Then mum and dad will watch it with us and I will explain it to them after watching the movie.

He said the movie will make it easier for them to understand what I am driving at. I agreed to what he said and we got to work on finding werewolf movies .

We compiled the list of the ones we found and read reviews about all of them till we settled on the one we will be playing for my parents.

I asked him how it was going with Chris and he sad it's going well and I asked what the difficulties are and he told me about how he is scared of public opinions on their relationship and how mom and dad will react when they find out their son is now gay . I told him to relax and have trust in our parents to be understanding because his sexuality have nothing to do with who he is as a human being. He started crying and I went over to hug and comfort him. It was the first time since after he turned eighteen that he cried in front of me. I continued petting him till he stopped crying and I didn't know when I started crying too . We both looked at each other and bursted in to laughter .

' you look ugly when you cry ' I said

' have you seen yourself , I bet Felix wouldn't want you again if he sees you like this ' he said

' that's a lie , I look like a goddess while crying and you know it ' I said .

We continued teasing each other till it was close to my parents off work hours and Mike decided to cook before they come . I followed him into the kitchen to help him and he started making the food.

I mind linked Felix while we were at it

' did you arrive yet ? '

' not yet , I will soon ' he had replied

' let me know when you arrive , I'm telling my parents about us today ' I said

' okay babe ' he replied

That was our last conversation till my parents came back and they seem to be in a good mood. I set the table while Mike served the food and we proceeded to start eating . Anna cleared the dishes after we finished and Mike asked my parents to watch a movie with him. They agreed and we went to the living room to sit . Mike connected his phone to the TV and okayed the movie we selected . My parents and sister were so invested in the movie and I know it won't be hard to understand what I'm going to be telling them . We finished watching the movie and I told Anna to go to her room and sleep . She asked me to go with her and I complied , I took her to her room and laid down with her till she slept off. What a baby , she is always wanting me to out her to sleep.

I went back to the living room and apparently Mike already told my parents I have something to tell them. We sat down and I started explaining everything to them. They didn't say anything and we're just looking at me till I finished my explanation . My brother sensed my nervousness and held my hand to stop it from shaking. I noticed the mixed emotions playing on their faces and I tensed up while anticipating their response. My dad coughed and my mom sighed . My brother suddenly stood up and said

' I also have something to tell you , I'm gay . I have a boyfriend and I love him and you can't tell me to leave him because I won't and he's also not Human ' he said and paused to check their expressions

They were sitting emotionlessly at this point and my brother continued by saying ' I know it's all a bit too much to comprehend at this moment but I wanted to be the one to tell you instead of you finding out on your own and about Angela , she didn't choose to be chosen as a Wolf mate . It just happened and there's nothing we can do about it ' he finished

He sat back down and we held each other's hand while we waited for our parent responses. They both sat in silence for about five minutes then the asked to be excused . They said we were going to talk tomorrow and said goodnight to I and my brother. They left the living room and proceeded to their room leaving I and my brother in the living room . When we heard the sound of their room door closing, we stood up and went to sit at the front porch. I started crying and my brother hugged me and said it's going to be alright and I should wait till they tell us what they want to tell us tomorrow.

Amidst all the chaos , I heard Felix mind linking me that he arrived at his pack already but I was too distracted to reply him so I just let it be . My brother comforted me and we each went to our rooms to sleep.

We woke up in the morning to my parents waiting for us in the living room , my mom hugged Mike and told him it's alright to like whoever he wants to like. ' love is not a crime and it doesn't matter what gender your heart beats for ' she said

My brother started crying into her arms and then she came to me and hugged me then started crying , I wondered why she was crying and she said I have to promise her to be safe no matter what happens. I said I promise and my dad told us that after retiring into their room last night they watched other werewolf themed movies and that is why my mother is scared . I went to hug then and I reassured my mom that I will be okay and nothing can happen to me. My sister came downstairs and I explained to her that I'm a wolf's mate . She got excited and told me that she want to see him and how he will transform and that she have always wanted to see a real wolf . I told her she will see him when he comes back and that he is not around for now.

I went into my brother's room and I met him dressing up to go out.

' where are you heading to ' I asked

' I want to go see Chris ' he said

I said okay and helped him match his dressing. I was happy because our troubles have been solved and we both don't need to sneak around now.

I thought our troubles are over and I decided to mind link Felix about it. I sent him thoughts after thoughts and he didn't reply any of them and I started wondering what might be wrong with him ........

Felix POV

I got to the place where I have to transform into my wolf to get into our pack and I parked my car at the parking spot then went into the forest and transformed.

I started heading to the pack after transforming and when I got to the pack I mind linked Angela that I was already at the pack then I felt something sting my back and I fell down. I've just been injected with wolf bane ...............
