Someone was banging on the door hard, and I padded to open it. Master Gregory enters with blood all over his face. “My lord, we need to evacuate. So many soldiers were slaughtered.”
“Slaughtered by who?” Daemon asked.
I could see the nervousness in him as he swallowed hard. “It’s a demon. They are quite rare, and this is the first time I have seen something like this. They are not easy to kill. There are too many of them as if their numbers are infinite.”
