Daemon was sparring with Asferan. The two of them clashed with one another. Car elbowed me with an impatient glare. “Hey. If I were your enemy you would have been dead already. Trust me,” she says. She sighed when she noticed that I still keep looking at Daemon.
“Don’t worry. He’ll come around,” she says.
“He won’t.” I said, “I betrayed him. I don’t think he would still be able to forgive me.”
“I still don’t understand why you felt so bad about him,” she huffed. Withdrawing her sword back to its scabbard. “He treats you badly since the very beginning, didn’t he?”
I nodded. “You don’t understand.” I mumbled.
“Wait. Are you saying that he was nice to you?”
“He left Katarina for me. I don’t know why exactly. But he did it for me---”
