Lost

BECKER It’s been 2 days since Laney was returned to me, my men had to chloroform her before returning her. She must of put up a hell of a fight judging by some of their faces. Dexter, one of my right hand men had a bust lip and a bite mark on his hand. I chuckle at the thought. She’s been locked in the room for 2 days now. I went in to speak to her 24 hours ago. When she got smart with me again. I have withheld myself from going in. She’s been given one shitty bowl of oatmeal and a glass of water to last her the 24 hours. If she wants to get smart with me and play me at my own game we’ll see who comes out on top. I know it’ll be me. She’s not aware of who I am. She doesn’t know what I’m capable of. She thinks that was bad? Me shooting that kid. That was me helping him. I could of done a lot worse. I have done a lot worse, he got off lightly. I’ll make her understand just who Becker Ramono is. She’ll never try anything like that with me again. The smart mouth and her attitude, although it grates on me. I find myself enjoying the challenge. However, running away. Escaping from my home. That is something I can not overlook. No one dares disobey me, and after I’m finished with her I’ll make sure she doesn’t either. Andre knocks on my office door, my eyes dart up to the clock 3:25pm. “Come in.” I grumble. Andre walks in head bowed. “Mr Ramono. That guy from the casino is downstairs in the basement.” I smile. Good. “Okay Andre. Go get Laney and tie her to a chair in the basement. We’re going to give her the live performance of her life” Andre’s brows furrow, I can tell he’s wanting to say something. “What Andre?” I snap. “Nothing sir, I’m just a bit concerned that you may jeopardise something that you could have with this girl?” Andre’s bold statement takes me back. I shoot my head up at him. He bows his head lightly, Andre is the only man I have around me who I am somewhat close with. He’s been with me through everything. Therefore we do have a friendship relationship along side our business one. But I still have boundaries and Andre can only get away with so much leeway, for example if it was any other one of my men that let Laney escape they’d be dead by now. Andres still standing to tell the tale. But this statement shocked me. “I’ll have what I want with this girl. Do not concern yourself with my personal affairs. Just do as I say. Understood?” Andre nods his head and twists his lip in disapproval. Before turning on his heel and leaving the room. I give him 10 minutes to get my plan into action and get Laney a front seat to my show. I will show her who she’s messing with. I walk into the basement and see Laney tied to a chair facing the man. He’s white, shaking like a leaf. Sweat beads dripping down his face, he swallows hard when he looks up and see’s me. Laney however looks disgusted. She knows what I’m about to do, and she knows I’m trying to assert my dominance, show her just what kind of monster she’s dealing with. Judging by her face, she’s already aware. She was aware the moment she saw me shoot that boy. I saw it in her eyes. But it’s taken me this long to figure out. That same look lingers there. And it’s distracting me from my task. Maybe this was a bad idea, I have to continue it now though. I turn my full attention to the man in front of me. He’s tied to a chair similar to Laney. However his chair is placed over plastic sheets. I don’t like mess. I smile wickedly at the man, I grab a similar chair close by and pull it over until I’m in between Laney and the man. Cutting Laney’s view off from the man’s face. Straddling the chair I face the man, resting my hands on the chair back I roll my sleeves up. “Mr Ashley. Welcome to my home.” The slim man looks around the room nervously. “Mr Ramono.. please. I was des…” before he can finish his sentence I punch him square in the jaw. His head snaps backwards from the force. Laney let out a sharp scream. “Shut up, I don’t want your excuses. Where is the money I invested.” He stammers over himself, afraid to talk. Terrified of getting smacked again. “I.. I don’t know” lies. I punch him again, this time in the eye. His eye instantly swells. I kick my chair away. Standing close to the man, he’s now crying, whimpering. “I don’t like liars.” I mutter to him. Turning around and stepping back, letting that sink into his thick skull, my eyes land on Laney’s. She’s watching me closely, her eyes full of revulsion. She hates me right now. And for some reason that thought is getting to me. I look away from her quickly. I can’t look back in her direction. I can’t face it. I look back at the man. I walk slowly towards him. “So, you stitched me up, robbed me, where is my money Mr Ashley.” He glances towards Laney. My eyes narrow instantly. As his face slowly seems to light up. “Chose your words very carefully Mr Ashley. I am not in the mood for games.” His eyes refocus on me. Narrowing slightly as if he’s discovered a big weakness. Maybe he has, this idea backfired. Dramatically. “I’ll tell you where your money is Mr Ramono, for a go with the girl?” He’s statement shocks Laney. I hear her gasp. I laugh a dark harrowing chuckle. I land another punch on chin, knocking his chair backwards, him going with it. I start to stomp on his stomach, legs anywhere I can. Pulling back I glance towards Dexter, Dexter takes my queue and picks the chair up seating Mr Ashley upright again. He chuckles dryly. Knowing he’s hit a nerve. “So I take it the girls off limits” he grins as blood drips down his chin. I nod my head towards Andre. “Take her to her room.” Andre sighs relief and unties Laney. Removing her from the room. My focus zooms in on this weak, pathetic man in front of me. My focus is solely on him now. I’m no longer distracted by Laney. I smirk at the man, “Dexter, go get me my electric cables please. I think it’s time we took this up a notch don’t you?” The man’s face instantly pales. Not so clever now are you.
