Ever since Laney’s visit to my office that night she’s been full work mode, focused solely on the renovation as well as avoiding me at all costs. Whenever I enter a room she’s in she finds an excuse to leave, if we have any conversations she strictly confines it to only being about the renovation no matter where I try to steer it. The workers we hired for the renovation all signed a NDA upon arrival and the design is coming along great! In fact with Laney looking over the project, I’d say it’s nearly complete. Maybe 1-2 weeks away from completion. The thought thrills me as well as angers me slightly, the thought that she’ll be done here working 1-2 weeks.
