“So, I should have just left you alone and at the mercy of your brother?” Delnard’s cold voice drawled out and Isabelle was drawn back into the battle between them. "No! But, I would have found a way to escape!" Isabelle grounded out, her teeth snapping together. “I could have fought my way out of it!” Delnard wanted to grab Isabelle and shake some sense into her. He could not seem to control his temper or his emotions when it involved her. He watched her stance, all tense and ready to fight. It dawned to him that she was being on the offensive.
