“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” Delnard replied with a small smile “you’re right, I have to look at this at a business perspective for the meantime.”
Isabelle felt a little surprise and is thrown off balance at the sudden change in Delnard’s mood. One moment ago he looked like he was ready to give her the world along with his heart. Now, he looks less intense and seemed to be back to his teasing mood.
“Is there anything else you want to add to this agreement?” Isabelle asked right away to make sure that Delnard did not revert back to discussing feelings and fears.
“Only that you promise to be truthful to me, always. I don’t care if you think I’d be furious at you for something you did. I want you to be honest and open with me in all matters concerning you.” Delnard declared.
