Episode 14: Angel’s Pack

I woke up hours later and was hugging the toilet. I almost didn’t make it. Angel came rushing in after me and was holding back my hair. By the time I got to the point of dry heaving it apparently was Angel’s turn.

I had suddenly felt better and after Angel stood me up to usher me into the shower, and then he was running for the toilet. I was horrified because my immediate thought was we had been poisoned. He was quick though and we called in the healers immediately to look over the both of us. We both went down for breakfast afterward. Anna was bustling about the kitchen with some help to my surprise. She never has help, but she turned to me and winked. I c****d my head at this with immediate confusion. I sat down wearily as I took a bite of the bacon that was on my plate. Before I could gather up the courage to ask her about her wink, our front door opened up and my friend Maria walked in.

Maria sauntered over to me, cupped my chin, and smiled sweetly. She turned to our mate and curtsied. He nodded in acknowledgment. I introduced each other and then they shook hands. Maria turned back to me with a twinkle in her eyes.

“Congratulations love on your union! You are so fortunate honey to be so fertile, but both of you need to brace yourselves for months to come when the babies arrive.

Angel and Damien in unison shouted, “BABIES?! AS IN MORE THAN ONE?”

I looked at her in disbelief. Maria threw her head back and laughed so hard she started to tear up.

“YES! More than one Alpha and you are?” She raised an eyebrow at Damien and stuck her hand out to shake it.

“I’m Damien, Angel’s B-bet……” We watched on as Damien’s eyes went black when he touched her skin and then he said something neither of us was expecting. “MATE!” He dove at her and she let him. He was smelling her hair and neck. “Mate! I’ve found you at last! Please accept us! Please need us as much as we need you!”

Maria smiled at him and kissed his nose then his forehead and then his lips. “I accept you my wolfman, but please contain yourself as having s*x in the kitchen in front of everyone was not how I expected to be taken.” Damien’s wolf immediately nodded in agreement and apologized. His eyes changed back to normal. He got up with her and ushered her to have a seat. She kissed him atop his head and asked him for patience.

“Alphas, I come to bring you a gift for your union and to give you information from a vision I had.” Maria was very calm and solemn as she said this. “Your Goddess has blessed your unification to the highest extent. Your ‘Wolf King’ has been notified and will want to utilize this to his advantage. Neither of you can function without the other in order for the Goddess’s gifts to work, nor will anyone understand this unless you are together. Your children will become symbols of peace when they are born. One of them will become the mate to the King’s children, so making him an ally is important. It won’t be easy. You both need to set off to Angel’s pack no later than tomorrow otherwise his absence will be questioned. It would be better if you left tonight and be careful. Not everyone is as who they make themselves to be.”

I looked at Angel and his Beta. Then I looked at my Beta and Gamma. Everyone nodded in agreement. I turned back to Maria. “Thank you, my friend. We will leave immediately to attend to my mate’s pack.”

“Our pack.” Angel corrected me.

“Right. Our pack.” I squeezed him and in reassurance. Angel then excused himself and went up to my office and was on the phone with his Gamma. He came back minutes later. “Our plane will be ready in an hour. How soon do we want to leave?”

I turned to Jason and Steve. Their faces were now hard and ready to protect. “I will be leaving with Angel, Damien, and Maria. I need both of you on the highest alert here. Up the security and inform everyone of Maria’s vision. I would rather everyone be in the know, so if anyone tries to double-cross us or each other it will be easier to see and find out. Notify my parents please and if they want to come over to us they can. Also, make sure the rogues are aware. I do not want this a secret. I also want it easier to spot a mole later on if things get iffy and as I approach my due date.”

In no time we were up in the air. Angel’s pack was in Canada that went as far north to Alaska. Once we landed Angel’s security team was waiting to pick us up. In about an hour we were at his packhouse. It blew mine out of the water and it was so homey. Angel helped me out of the SUV and carried me over the threshold of his home which I was quickly corrected into ‘Our’ home. Once arrived we were quickly greeted by his Gamma – Mike. Mike’s face was filled with worry and doubt.

“Alpha, I’m very happy to see you and Damien. Your position is being questioned right now by the surrounding packs and council. You have been summoned to go before them because you haven’t acquired a mate yet from what they know, but seeing as how there are two women here I can see you and Damien have found your mates.”

“Mike, I’d like to present to you our Luna who is also an Alpha, Victoria. She is the Alpha of the Green Forest Pack. Our roles now interchange depending on what has to be dealt with and that now includes our pack.” Angel’s eyes were ‘matter of fact’ when he spoke to Mike. “I will head over there now. Mike, you will accompany me. Damien and Maria, please stay here to watch over the pack and my Luna.” Angel kissed me and apologized for having to leave me so quickly. I understood. I know how this goes. I smiled and let him know I would get to know the pack here and then plan a celebration that can be done safely within his territories. He smiled and nodded. He was now on his way to get his affairs handled.  

I turned to Damien who had his tongue down my friend’s throat. I crossed my arms. “Ahem!” He stopped and looked at me. Slowly sliding his tongue back into his mouth and standing Maria back up.

“Sorry, Luna. Um, so yea….how can I help you?”

“There will be plenty of time for mating, but first I need to know about this pack as far as allies, enemies, and what we can and cannot do here. I also want to get our celebration arranged and I would like you guys to partake in it as well to celebrate your mating. As quick as you can get me this information then you both can carry on to your mating.” I winked at both of them and smiled. Maria started to blush and Damien chuckled as he brought us up to the office.

I learned very quickly that this pack was a lot different than mine. There were a lot of enemies, just as many allies, and a lot more restrictions. It made my head hurt, but I tried to make do with what was laid before me. I got on the phone with my Omega Team. They were still in Illinois. They were wrapping up for the day but said they would make a few calls back home and have our secondary team make their way over here. I sighed a breath of relief and thanked them for helping me with these new updates to our pack over here.

A couple of hours later my love and his Gamma came back. Angel had a smug look on his face. Mike’s worried creases on his forehead were gone. Angel looked at me and said, “The meeting went well and we managed to piss off a few people in the process. It seems as though some of the members thought that they would be taking over my role as Alpha because I had not secured my mate and I had been absent for approaching almost three weeks.” He leaned down to give me a kiss on my forehead and then my lips.

He had asked me how the planning was going, was there anything that he could help with, and requested that our Omega Team come and look over all of the financials and assets here to see where there can be improvements and changes to be made. My smile from what he said seemed to have drawn in my mate because that leads to a very sensual and sexy kiss. When he allowed me to come up for air I let him know my overall concerns and that I had already taken the liberty to call in our teams.

Mike cleared his throat to get our attention. Angel formally introduced us. Mike immediately showed me submission and was overjoyed to hear the news of our upcoming additions. Mike was …. How do I describe Mike? He was very gentlemen-like. He was tall, broad-shouldered, had a contagious laugh and his smile brightened up the room. He didn’t seem like he fit in here though. He seemed like a stereotype of a California surfer dude bro. He was very laid back and wore loose-fitting clothes. He still seemed like he contained a lot of his energy to give off the whole surfer vibe. It made me laugh because to me he seemed way out of place. Mike excused himself to go train for a couple of hours and said he’d be back for dinner.

Angel led me to his ginormous and gorgeous kitchen. Oh, my Goddess Anna would have a field day in her. It had anything and everything she could need or want and I thought my kitchen at home was high quality. It was very rustic looking, warm, and inviting. The scent of fresh bread baking filled the air and my tummy started talking so loud that the wolf baking immediately sliced me off some pieces and had fresh butter next to it to spread over. It. Was. Heavenly! Both the cook and Angel started laughing at me because I closed my eyes at the first savory bite and started swaying back and forth in a happy dance. I looked at them with narrowed eyes. “What?! I was hungry and this tastes AMAZING! I love food!” I tore off a small piece and threw it at Angel. It hit him square in the forehead and he caught it and popped it in his mouth with a smile. His cook – Henry took in all of the information for what our new diets consisted of. He smiled at this and hugged Angel at the announcement of us expecting. Henry reassured us that he will get everything in the kitchen up to speed to accommodate our new eating desires. I also asked him how much notice he would need for our upcoming party to cater to the pack. His eyes looked like they were about to pop out of his head.

“Luna, I’m not trying to be rude at all, but do you know how big this pack truly is? I don’t know if we can accommodate that many guests. I would definitely need a lot of help and if I am to take on this task I will need a week to prepare. Do you have an idea of what food you want to be served?” Henry suddenly looked stressed and I could see the wheels already turning in his head. He looked at me waiting for my response.

“Henry, you’re absolutely right. I don’t have a clue how big this pack is here. Our mating has expanded the pack territories even further, but we had a party where I live. If you need help then I can call in my cook and her help as well. Let’s work on a menu tomorrow. I’m not sure what everyone’s favorites are around here or what the common dish is. Once we toss some ideas back and forth then we can work out a time frame of when everything can be completed and then we will have a date for the party. What do you think?” I looked at Henry with a smile and trying to calm his nerves. Angel had the biggest smile watching the both of us in conversation.

“I-I think that is a wonderful idea! Thank you for taking my thoughts into consideration my Luna. If you think you can bring in your cooks I’d be very grateful. Yes, let’s talk about the menu tomorrow. I am sure you all are hungry. I made some lasagna from scratch and of course the bread. Please eat and rest you two. Damien and his mate took a snack platter and headed to their room.”

We all ate together. I learned a lot about Henry during dinner. When we were finished we also took a snack platter up to our room and Angel’s room looked like we were flying in the sky. It literally looked like heaven or the inside of the Paris Casino in Las Vegas. It was absolutely breathtaking. His bed was like laying down on a cloud. I plopped onto his bed or ‘our’ bed. He plopped right next to me and spooned me. We drifted off into heaven.
