Episode 3: Who Is She?

Well, I didn’t anticipate killing another Alpha today and acquiring another pack. I sat in for the rest of the conference which was another two hours before they called it a day. Steve gave me a warm washcloth and a change of clothes to match the ones I had just shredded after shifting.

The two packs resolved their petty differences after seeing me kill another Alpha without hesitation. I had my Omega Team come down to get the paperwork completed from killing Alpha Martinez and acquiring his pack. His Beta was left to clean up the mess. My Omega Team then informed the scared Beta that a team would be sent to the pack for a month and a half to get all assets and financials resolved starting today. He looked at me and lowered his eyes. I walked over to him.

“What’s your name?”

“Gabriel. Gabriel Torres”

“Gabriel, this is my Beta Jason and my Gamma Steve. Is there anything you need to ask before you leave and go back home to meet our team?”

“N-nice to m-meet you both. No, no Alpha. I will be on the next flight out to meet your team. When should we expect you?”

“I will be there whenever I get there. If my team is threatened or harmed in any way especially because they are Omegas I will come with my brothers and we will kill your pack and take the children.” I saw the color drain from him. I smiled. “Let us hope it isn’t brought to that. I am not looking to be seen as ruthless, but if harm comes to my family that wasn’t their doing nor their fault, I will burn the world down to avenge their deaths for them and for their immediate family. Am I understood?” I looked at him inquisitively.

“Y-yes Alpha.”

“Jason, Steve, can you guys take it from here?”

“Of course. Go get something to eat please. We can’t stand it when you’re hangry.”

“Oh, yea! I totally forgot I hadn’t eaten. Yup! On it! Thanks, guys! See you all when you get back to the room!” I waved and was on my way back to the room. I needed a shower. What a day. Just a friendly reminder as to why I can’t stand those damn conferences. I passed a bunch of people in the lobby on my way to the restaurant to order food to be sent up to the room and there it was again. It was faint, but it was there. I smelt fresh rain, earth, and coffee.

“Grrrrooooowwwwllll” Hunger clouded my vision. I shook my head to get my thoughts together. I ordered my food to be sent up along with food for my brothers.

Alpha POV

I wasn’t trying to arrive at the conference late or not at all, but upon arriving at the hotel and checking in I smelt her. My mate! My wolf was attempting to push forward and surface while checking in and it took everything I had to keep it together. My Beta looked at me with a worried look. Her scent of earth and fresh wildflowers was everywhere. In less than five minutes I was going to go insane if I didn’t find her.

“Hey, Angel! What’s up, man?”

“She’s here Damien.”

“Dude. Nooooooo way?! We have to find her! Congratulations man! This is going to be EPIC! I got this. Go. Find her.”

I was now on the hunt. Who is she? I tracked her scent on the elevator. I followed it up to each floor until I knew which floor she was on. I was on my way back down. I followed it to the conference. I opened the doors to find it empty. We had missed today’s events. Her scent was there though. I walked up to a rather large bloodstain. NOOOOO! Oh, my Goddess is she dead? My wolf and I were pacing. It can’t be. I strode out of the conference area and past the restaurant. There it is again! It’s her! I started scanning every single person I could and then….. There she was. Walking to the elevator. I was too far away to make it to her. I did the only thing I could think of. I pulled my phone and snapped a picture hoping I had caught her. I did!

“Angel! Hey, let's catch the elevator and get up to our room. A couple of the pack Alphas want to fill us in from what has gone on in the conference and apparently, the Martinez Pack has been taken over by the Green Forest Pack and check this out, man! Their Alpha is a FEMALE! Speaking of females did you find your mate?”

“What? Um, Dee, I’m going to send you a pic I just took of my mate. I need to know everything you can on her immediately. Put her through face recognition. She’s on the fifth floor. She was in the conference room. We missed it today by the way. I thought she was dead because her scent was really strong near a large bloodstain, but then I picked it up again when I passed the restaurant. I followed my nose in the direction of the scent and saw her in the elevator. I was too far away and only managed to get a picture. What?”

“Alpha, did you hear anything I said?”

“Yea, go up to our room. Alphas from other packs want to talk to us. An Alpha died and…….Oh shit.”

“Alpha, I think your mate is the Alpha female of the Green Forest Pack.”
