Candance's POV
I became uneasy as they drew closer to the table as we were seated, still tangled up with each other's arms in arms.
Oakley approached the seat across from me and pulled it out for the Beta to have a seat. This action caused my heart to race.
Before taking her seat, she gave him a flirtatious smile, and as she did so, she gave me a stern look.
I experienced a fluttering sensation within due to our near proximity as he took his seat next. He was so close, and I wanted to grab him.
I heard him ask her, "Mother," and I knew he wanted to talk about me being at the table, "Can we chat outside before breakfast starts?"
I knew she was avoiding the subject when she smiled and said, "Not now Oakley, anything you have to talk about can wait my boy."
