I opened my eyes and found everything to be cloudy. I repeatedly blinked in an effort to see clearly where I was. I walked in and was greeted with the sight of familiar ceilings, a smoky atmosphere, and a strong stench. Smoke entered my nose, causing me to wheeze.
I fought to leave the bed as I threw off the covers that had been placed over me. Why was I not wearing a shirt? I'm lost. Where am I? Standing on my feet, they were shaky, and I felt lightheaded. My head banged. Even though the room was dark, I could still see because, as an Alpha, I had enhanced vision.
