Episode 1

It was raining heavily. I stood at the window watching the heavy downfall of the rain and how the trees danced in the direction of the wave. The weather was so glommy, I thought .I was born in a critical way and the only child of my parents, even though I so much wished for siblings to play and talk with them. My, but I had none, just me, my mom and dad. We moved from England when I was 6 to California. I am a teenage girl of 18 preparing for college .. Oh God ! Please let me be admitted to my dream school. I prayed silently. Suddenly, I heard my name.

" Raine", it was my mum calling, coming mum!

"Where have you been? I have been calling you. Your father and I have something to discuss with you. My mum is such a beauty. I guess I got that from her. She has long black shiny hair with curls. Oh, I wish I had inherited that too, Raine!! Are you listening? Oh yes, mum, what did you say ? She stared at me and then my dad said" You have been admitted to the University of California. OMG Mum, is this true? Dad ? He smiled at me. Congratulations dear, the University of California has always been my dream school. I never came to the conclusion why I chose that school as my choice. Probably my dream guy is there. I thought "Raine", my mum called for the second time. Yes mum, I drifted out of my daytime and remembered I had been admitted to my dream school. I bid my parents good night after our long talk.

I went to my room. I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming, but I was not. OMG I almost forgot I needed to tell Abi she was going to be so happy.

Ring 1, ring 2,ring 3. Why isn't she picking her calls ? Anyway, I can call her tomorrow. I lay on my bed and drifted off to sleep and dream of my prince charming.

Wake up, sleepy head. Geez mum, it's 2'oclock i need to sleep for tomorrow's journey. No, you have to wake up, pack up your bags and get ready so we won't arrive late, okay mum.

What's up with her anyway? I'm always keeping on time. I stood up with heavy eyes and packed all I needed for the journey because I wouldn't be back till the semester was over. I checked my phone and still had no messages or missed calls from Abi. I hope she's okay.
