Happy Moments

The last incident shook Sai's life. He was feeling depressed, betrayed and anger along with hatred grew in his heart. He was so willing to accomplish his mother's wish but he knew he was not strong to fight a whole clan. He knew that strength and wealth determines a person's strength and he lacked both. So he was now ready to become strong.

After burning his mother's body, he took a handful of ash of his mother's burnt body and poured it in a bowl and as the ashes of his mothers remain fell down from his hand he promised to himself that he will shore away his mothers remain in the river until he will get his revenge from those clan of bastards and carry out his mother's final wish.

His eyes showed his will to become strong and were as in person speaking "I will become strong."

After two weeks,

"I have been practicing on my physical strength but in this world physical strength was not the primary thing, I need to cultivate but as of my condition I think I will not be able to do it. I can't earn that much of money for cultivation only by selling fish and wood. I guess I am hopeless."

Sai came back from the market selling all the woods and fish he collected, he got 10 bronze coins for selling all that.

While tiredly walking towards home, he observed an unclear figure in his home from the window. He ran towards his house and observed a girl feeding his father some sort of thing. He instantly grabbed her hands and turned her hands to her back and saw that girl was wearing a veil.

The girl tried to defend but he turned her hands more so in pain she gave up.

"Who are you? What were you giving my father?"

"You forget your good wishers easily like that"  

Sai removed the veil off her face and noticed that the girl was no other but Xia who saved his life.

"Sorry, I didn't knew it was you, I am very sorry". Sai felt so ashamed.

"You are saying sorry but you still won't lose my hands.". The girl showed a smug look.

Sai instantly freed her and apologized again.

"But why are you here and what's the meaning of all this, how you get here?"

"Oh there are a lot of questions. Don't you remember, you told me about your place. You only told me you lived near the mountain but I didn't expect you living in such extreme conditions. "

"Yea, My family is in very extreme condition but what was that thing you were feeding my father"

"Nothing a sort of medicine. I have been coming up here lately to treat your father."

"How many days you have been doing that in my back"

"Around ten days"

"Huh, ten days? and I never knew"

"Because you would have never known. I was on purpose hiding this from you so you will never catch me and misunderstand me but seeing you know I think it would have been fine."

"Why you thought that, I would never do that to a person who saved my life."

"Huh, You saved my son's life, very thanks to you young lady." said Sai's father. Sai was surprised seeing his father talk. He was astonished  by the situation.

His father stood up from the chair and held Xia's hand and greeted for saving his son's life.

Sai was so surprised at that moment. He was speechless. The tears of joy came out running from his eyes. The evening sun ray reflected on his tears making those beautiful.

His father noticed him crying and put his hand on Sai's shoulders. 

"I am sorry son. I had to hide it from you. Its all because of this young lady that I am standing here and speaking with you. She came over here from last ten days fetching me good quality medicines and feeding me food which made my health and condition better. Although I am crippled but at least I can work now."

"I am sorry father, it should have been who should have get you out of that condition but I was not able to do so."

"No need to apologize son, its me who should feel guilty for being a burden on you and your mother. I am the one who is guilty of your mother's death. You already have suffered so much due to me. From now on you will not work because your father is now back on his feet. Rest assured and work hard for your mother's wish."

"Yes father, thank you so much"

Sai wiped his tears and hugged his father. The father-son relationship was at the peak at that moment.

Sai now walked towards Xia to offer his greeting by bowing down in front of her.

"I don't know why you did all this but thanks for all of this. I don't know how I can repay you"

"Huh, If you want to repay why not come along with me. There's a person who wants to meet you"

"Why would anyone like to meet with me?" asked Sai out of curiousity.

"You will know about that later, all I can tell about him is now that he is your good wisher"

"What you mean by true good wisher?"

"You will get to know soon. I will come pick you up tomorrow morning as it seems if I will take you now, I will take your precious family moments."

"Okay as you say. Thanks for everything Miss"

"Don't say miss. Call me Xia"

"Ok"

"Bye now see you tomorrow"

"Bye, take care Xia"

Xia smiled at him and left after that. Sai and his father waved their hands towards her in order to say good bye.

"What a beautiful young lady with a beautiful heart. Alas fell for a pale and weak boy like you"

"No its not like that" said Sai in rage.

"Just kidding son, after all those years of suffering, I felt like to play with you."

"Hmmm"

"Do you want to eat something son ?"

"Can you offer me something father?"

"Haha I will try, Its been years since I cooked last time for your mother. I wish that your mother could have been here, She would be so happy seeing me like this."

"I wish too."

"Since you are not kid anymore, let me tell you something about my and your mother's past. "

"What special could have been in your past father?"

"Nothing special but far worse than you can imagine."

"What you mean by that?, Is this type of days we experience related to your past?"

"Yes, this is all due to our past. Your mother was not from any ordinary family. She was the eldest daughter of the king. She was no ordinary girl, she born in a royal family carried the inheritance of her family. Her father truly admired her and loved her the most. The king had 4 wives and all other three wives had sons but king didn't love his son more than his daughter. I don't know if it was because of her inheritance or being daughter of his first wife but your mother was too lucky receiving such love and one day she fell in love with me..."

"Huh, what? How did she fell in love with you?"

"That's what you should not ask, its embarrassing to tell such things to children."

"Huh, but you said now I am not kid anymore"

"That doesn't mean you are an adult."

"No fair"

"Ahem...So where was I, ya after she fell in love with me, she told her father about our relationship. Can you guess what happened?"

"Grandfather refused and arranged mother's marriage to someone else."

"Haha pretty dusty old guess you made there but it was not like that, your grandfather was too kind. He was not like those who will sell his daughter in another kingdoms hand. Actually it was all due to the inheritance. Your grandfather knew that he would marry her daughter to some other kingdom, they would try to treat his daughter like an experiment rat to gain the power inside her. He knew that a poor person like me would never do such things and instead would agree to be the next king being her daughter's husband. So when your mother told him about our relationship, your grandfather agreed on one condition that I will be the next king. Your mother agreed but I was not into such things, I resisted her for that but ended up agreeing to it as it was all for our love. We thought that things were going smooth but that was not the case, your grandfather and first queen was assassinated before the marriage can be announced in public. Things were bad now as no one knew about our relationship except the king, it seems someone eavesdropped in the conversation between your mother and the king. After the funeral of your grandfather, the other three queens accused your mother for the assassination of the king in public providing the reason that she killed king because king refused her to marry to a poor person like me. Your mother tried explaining everything in front of public but the queens already planned everything and their plan was successful. Your mother's power was sealed and was thrown out of the palace. I took her with me and were living together. We moved to this remote town from the capital and started living our life here and then your elder sister was born after a month she was born beautiful as your mother and soon after ten years you were born. We didn't knew that having a daughter will have so much trouble for us. After your sister became 17 she was already known as town beauty and she caught everyone's eye. The Li family elder son had ill intention towards your sister and everything happened after that was so disastrous for our family. Since then your sister is unconcious and all other thing you know. Don't think that your mother's wish is something she wish alone, we all carry same desire and we all have same aim. So carry your mother's wish as our family wish." 

"No matter what happens I will become strong and annihilate that family who did this to us" promised Sai looking at the star.
