21 THE STAG NIGHTLek and Craig woke up bright and early, as they always did, but there was a buzz of excitement in the air. At six o’clock in the morning, there was already music drifting in from somewhere, probably Lek’s mother’s house, and there had been for about an hour. They both knew what it was - it was the typical call to action for the women in the village who wanted to help prepare the food for the pre-wedding party – the hen night, although, since Craig had no family nearby with which to have a stag night, they would have a combined do.
They both also knew that Lek ought by rights to be with the women. She looked at him with a mock-sad face.
Craig nodded gravely.
“Go on then, I suppose you must, if you must.”
