Inaugural Ceremony

I got admission for my graduation in one of the best university. It was 9 in the morning I woke up due to the alarm on my night stand. I was surprised by my alarm because I did not fix the alarm. Then I remembered today was my inagural function and I thought this is my mom's thing,  where every fresher is going to attend and make friends with each other and enjoy. 

The function starts at 10am I was not interested in attending this ceremony so I laid on my bed lazily. My mom just came inside my room without knocking I was in gasp but soon my mom started to attack me with questions about the inagural ceremony and whether I’m attending it or not. “ I'm not going to attend that” I said to her without giving her any glance. As soon as  she heard my words she rushed towards me and started to say blah  blah  and finally made me to attend the function. Instead of hearing her it’s better to attend the function- my mind said . So I gave up to her and stood up to my feet. I made my self ready. I was not attending any of the ceremonies either it is official or unofficial. I was always in my room alone. Today I had no other way except to attend instead of my mom’s torture. As soon as I said I was going to attend the ceremony my mom left me alone in room to get ready. Once I got ready I looked myself in mirror and made myself clear. I did not wear heavy makeup I just applied some maskara and lipstick I made my hairs a bit curly at the edge with this I completed my look. I took the car keys  from the table and came down. Everyone in the family was very happy except me for attending inagural function. 

I greeted everyone with a small smile and had my breakfast. Once I finished my breakfast I waved everyone a goodbye and headed towards the parking lot. I brought the engine to life and soon I was on road. The university was not too far from my home it was only 15 mins drive. Soon I was in the parking lot of the university and made the car to park and headed towards the hall. 

Almost 90% of the peoples including lecturers and students were already present. I made my way clear to the seat where they were allotted to the freshers according to their courses. As soon as I took my seat I started to inspect the decoration made by my seniors especially for juniors to welcome them with wholeheartedly a girl from my left started to introduce herself. I introduced myself and gave her a polite smile. Her name was Sofia this is the only thing I heard and soon I was lost in my thoughts. She realised I was not listening to her so she stopped speaking to me and made herself busy with others.

 The girl from my right side started to introduce herself and her name was Nikitha. I introduced myself. There was a lot of noise in hall which shows everyone was busy in making friends with other. Everyone was lost in their world untill there was a feminine voice from the stage getting everyone’s attention. She had white hairs which was made into bun she had brown eyes she was in her forties and she was professionally dressed. She wished everyone “ A very good morning to all my sweethearts present here and I welcome all of u to my family with a warm heart” as soon as she finishes there was a load applause in the hall and everyone wished her back at once with the same energy in which she has wished us. She was very happy by the reply she got her eyes was filled with happiness. She introduced few of the lectures who was handling us throughout the year and explained about dos and don'ts  in the campus. She also explained about the circulaum of the year and took an excuse by welcoming the headmistress to give a warm speech and cheers everyone. Headmistress was in her sixties she had a beautiful skin without any wrinkles I was surprised by her beauty how she has managed to get her skin unwrinkled even in her sixties. Soon she headed towards the stage and started to give the speech regarding the records of the university and the new record was already made ready for the freshers which they have to crack this year. 

Finally the speech got ended and everyone started to move out of the hall and headed towards the lunch area where thing was ready to serve. I was exhausted and not wanting to eat here I made a call to my mom to make some snacks ready for me and soon I will reach home , saying this I hung up the call not to extend the conversation and make complicated with my mom. I was waiting for the lift to reach ground floor, the function was in the 7th floor.

 “Hi beautiful” someone greeted me from my back I turned to look who was that. It was a guy dressed formally with white shirt and black jeans , the shirt was tucked in neatly which gave him a beautiful outfit of his 6 abs and his muscular arms. I greeted him politely and made my way into the lift and soon he entered the lift back of me before the doors closed. He started to introduce himself. “Myself Ajan i joined for PCMC course I like to become a friend of you” i cut him off but his voice was melody to every girls ear. “Im from different course and I don’t think friends from different courses workout” saying this I exited the lift and soon I took my car on roads and headed towards home.
