Chapter 21

Chapter 21   It was the other officers of Galaxias.   They look pretty tough and serious as they entered the door.   “Hey Gen, looks like you have unwanted visitors right now. We’ve already saw them outside while we were on our way here. I didn’t know that they were up to here too. It seems like they came here to investigate about the incident. How do you plan on answering their questions? It looks like they have many questions for the two of you!” Lee Jun whispered.   “Yeah, you were right! They really looked pissed right now. Maybe they were afraid that President Erik could find out about what happened here. Maybe they were preventing the spread of the news all over Galaxias, because they would be surely punished by President Erik Harald if he knew what really happened here; knowing that his nephew Major Rune Harald was badly hurt.” I whispered back.   “Greetings, cadets!” one of the officers said.   “Greetings, generals!” we replied.   “I see you have already told your comrades about the things that happened earlier, huh?” the first general said.   “No sir, they just arrived here about five minutes ago. They just came to visit to check our condition, nothing more, nothing less.” I replied.   “Well you’ve got some nerve to talk to me like that!” the first general replied.   “No sir, I am really sorry. I did not mean it that way. I was just telling you the truth; I did not mean to make you feel disrespected. Please forgive me if you felt disrespected.” I replied.   “Well well well, just remember who you are talking to right now, cadet!” the first general said.   “Hey, take it easy right there! We are not here to scold these young bloods! You are pretty scaring them!” the second general said.   “I am just reminding these cadets that we are still the officers here. We should be treated with respect here!” the first general replied.   “No one is disrespecting you here, mate! They are just explaining their sides! Come on! They are just cadets! Besides, they are still kids; there are still lots of things for them to know and as elders we should be the ones guiding them! Come on! You used to be like them when we were both cadets! I can tell that you are much even worse than them!” the second general said while laughing.   “Stop supporting these youngsters, you jerk! You always keep on contradicting me ever since we were cadets! Are you really my friend?” the first general asked.   “Yes, I am” the second general replied.   “Then, if you are really my friend; you should be supporting me here instead of them!” the first general said.   “No, I am not supporting these youngsters. I am just asking you to take your voice down and handle them softly.” the second general replied.   “Whatever.” The first general said.   “I have a great offer for you, my friend. It seems like those temper issues never leave you through these years. Why don’t you just wait for me outside, huh? Why don’t you let me handle this thing myself, huh? It’s a win-win situation for us, my mate. First, is because you would not feel stress anymore. Second, I can ask everyone here briefly because they do not have to fear you anymore. Lastly, these injured cadets over here can still take their rests while answering my questions. What do you think about it, mate? Seems cool, right? Right, everyone?” the second general asked while laughing.   “Just make sure you do it right!                 Call me outside if you need help! Whenever they lie to you, just give me a call outside, and I will snap their bones until they cannot feel nothing at all!” the first general said firmly.   “Oh sure, just chill your ass mate!” the second general said while chuckling.   The first general leave the room and he looks really upset.   “Now that he is gone, would you mind if I asked your comrades to join my mate outside too? I just came here to ask your comrades. I hope you do not mind if you join my mate outside even just for a little while. I promise, this would not take long.” The second general said while smiling.   “Yes sir! We will leave this place immediately! See you later, Jin! See you later, Gen! We will be back later after you were done! Come on guys, let’s go!” Lee Jun said.   “Thank you for your kind understanding, cadets! I promise to do it as fast as I could!” the second general said.   Lee Jun together with our other comrades followed the order of the second general. They went outside and waited for us like what they said.   “Okay, now that they were gone; guess it’s just going be me and you guys here. I would like to come to my point directly; I want you to keep all the things you will hear here in yourself. When I say ‘in yourself’, I literally mean it. I do not want you to tell any of your friends about the things you will hear later from me, am I understood by the two of you?” the general said.   “Yes sir!” we both replied.   “Good, I guess you two already know what I am about to do, yeah?” the general asked.   “No sir, honestly I do not have any idea.” I replied.   “Yeah, me too.” Jinhao said.   “Well, I am just going to ask you some questions. I want you to tell me what you know. Let us just say that it could help us investigate what really happened back there.” The general said while smiling.   “Okay sir, I understand.” Jinhao said.   “What about you, cadet? Do you promise to help us in this thing?” the general asked me.   “Uhhhh, yes sir!” I replied.   To be honest, I just said yes; but I would make sure that they would not know everything I know. I know I promised him to be honest all the time, but I also promised Major Rune that I would never tell anyone about what happened earlier.   I hope that Jinhao is thinking the same too, because if he doesn’t; then the general may hear different answers from the two of us. From those wrong answers, they can generate a conclusion that we were lying to them.   We will be severly punished too if we get caught that we were lying.   Major Rune’s position is also at risk if they found out that we were lying to them.   “So, shall we begin?” the general asked.   “Uhh, yes sir!” I replied.   “Okay, the first thing I want to know is how Major Rune gets that stab? Do you know who did that to him?” the general asked.   “Yes sir, the guards did that to him.” I replied.   “And who is that guard?” he replied.   “Until now sir, we still do not know who exactly the guard is. The only thing we are sure of right now is that a guard is responsible for stabbing Major Rune.” Jinhao said.   “How are they going to do that? That kid was raised by President Erik Harald to be a great soldier. I have never seen any guards of that capacity to do that to him! Can you please elaborate to me what really happened?” the general said.   “Well it wasn’t a fair fight, sir. There were too many of them against Major Rune himself. They have quite outnumbered Major Rune, sir! Also, their bodies built were really huge! With those cases, I can tell that even a trained soldier like Major Rune can be still beaten up by them!” I replied.   “Well, that makes sense. If Rune was just an ordinary soldier, he’s probably a dead meat now.” The general replied.   “Moving on, the next thing I want to know is how did you make it through here? You guys moved all by yourselves?” the general asked.   “No sir, we have been carried by the robots.” Jinhao said.   “What robots?” the general replied.   “The substitute guards, sir!” I said.   “Ohh I see, I guess their presence here is not a secret anymore.” The general replied.   “Now you’ve seen those terror robots, what do you think about them?’ he added.   “They are not terror for me after all, sir! They are the ones that helped us earlier. They even applied first aid towards Major Rune and my comrade Jinhao. I think those statements about them being terror were just rumors.” I replied.   “Well, I hope you were right. Let us just hope that they stay that way, yeah?” the general replied.   “Yes sir.” We both answered.   “The last thing I want to know is how you were two involved in this incident? From what I can remember, cadets are forbidden to get out of their quarters at night, right?” the general asked.   “Yes sir.” We both replied.   “Then if that was the case, how are you able to get there?” the general asked seriously.   Jinhao stares at me; I think he doesn’t know what to say. I honestly do not know what to say too. One wrong answer, then we’re all gone.   “Come on, answer me!” the general said.   I was about to answer, when suddenly….   The other general entered the room in a hurry.   He said some private words with the other general and they decided to leave immediately.   “I’ll be back soon to continue what we have started. From now on, you may continue taking your break.” The general said.   The generals leave the room like they were in a hurry.   Finally, the tension was gone.   Few seconds passed, then our comrades starting entering our room again.   “You guys alright?” Lee Jun asked.   “Yeah.” we both replied.   “What did he do to the both of you?” Lee Jun asked seriously.   “Well, he just asked some questions regarding what we know about the case earlier. We were really nervous when the general asked the last question. Fortunately, an emergency occurred among them so they had to leave in a hurry.” I replied.   “He also told us to stop telling the information that we know to others, they said it’s for the sake of Galaxias.” Jinhao added.   “But why would they do such thing like that? It is best to tell everyone what really happened here, isn’t it?” Lee Jun asked.   “I still do not know, maybe they were just trying to block the information before it reaches the office of the President. I am sure they were afraid to be punished by the President; knowing that his nephew was in danger because of other officer’s negligence.” I replied.   “But that was impossible! The news spread so fast all over Galaxias! There is no way that the President could not know about it!” He replied.   “Unless someone with a high rank would keep it confidential!” I said.   “Yeah, you were right! But how are they planning to do that?” He asked.   “I still do not know how, but I can feel that something is coming very soon.” I replied.   ---
