Chapter Ten
The MI6 agents took possession of the nuclear device and arranged for it to be picked up by the French Army. Shanahan and the girls were flown back to Paris before it was arranged for Fianna and Darcy to be taken back to America. Shanahan was admitted to a hospital where Morgana soon joined him. A hotel room was reserved for her shortly afterward, and the next morning Mark O'Shaughnessy and Joe Bieber arrived before she did.
“Looks like they'll awarding you another medal for this,” Mark said as he sat at William's bedside. They had performed minor surgery to repair tissue damage caused by the 7.62 rounds that hit him on the dock at Bayonne. They kept him overnight as a precaution, and William would be leaving with Morgana when she arrived.
