Chapter Five
Once again the woman known as Lucinda Montesano was summoned to the mansion of Cesare Masseroli in Montelepre. She received a call before dawn informing her that the operation was postponed and her presence would be required at an emergency meeting. It was shortly after dark that evening by the time she arrived in her 2014 BMW. She was slightly nettled when the valets informed her that she would be unable to park her own vehicle.
“Those are the rules,” the burly Sicilian explained. “For a meeting like this, we watch your car until you leave.”
