"Are you there, Sunshine?" Simon asks, amused.
My hands are shaking and Leonardo intertwines his with mine.
"Answer me," Simon says, irritated by my delay, and I answer instinctively.
"Yes, Simon, I'm here," I say softly and he laughs.
"Good girl," he says, and my family stares at the cell phone as if they could kill Simon with it.
"Do you think you'll get anywhere with this game, boy?" Nonna asks, and I can tell she's shaken by the whole situation.
"Nonna, don't worry, my goal here is only one, it always has been," he says calmly, and I hear a horn on the other end of the line.
"And what would that be?" Leonardo asks, irritated.
